If he wasn't killing the Federal Loans, he'd have my vote. He's one of the last politicians to actually stay honest and state things as they are. The Bible explains that homosexual lust is a consequence of immorality, and reconnecting to God is the only solution to it. I know from a friend of mine who used to be homosexual that it is possible to reconnect to God and the lusts will cease.

Did you miss the part of Romans 1:21-25?

    21. Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

    and Romans 1:26a
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions.

    and Romans 1:28
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting.

After read those parts. How can you justify your dislike of homosexuals? DON'T TELL ME THAT I PICK AND CHOOSE. Other Christians do the same to JUSTIFY their hate for homosexuals

    To simplify, Romans 1:26-27:

"26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error."

This clearly shows that homosexuality is an unnatural sexual relation; a punishment caused from being disconnected from God. In essence, I guess I don't understand how any Christian can support homosexuality. Without bringing up other passages, this one alone is very clear in describing the reality of the situation. I oppose homosexuality as I should, but I don't hate homosexuals; that's why I invest my time explaining that through reconnecting to God, these urges disappear and salvation can be obtained. That is my duty to God.

You can argue your interpretation of Romans 1:26-27, but it is very direct and straight-forward; I don't think there can be any other interpretations for this passage. If you call yourself a Christian, you should honestly consider this passage and realize its significance to you and other homosexuals.

How can it be straight-forward when I give you stuff that show otherwise?

Did you know that the bible was use for slavery, suppress women. So you are tell me that we are doing wrong now because we don't do it? That is how the bible was interpreted in the past.

What stuff have you shown me that persuades me "otherwise?"

The Bible is very clear and direct in stating that homosexuality is wrong. Here are some other passages that explain it thoroughly. This website is much better written and more through than anything I can write for you. http://www.contenderministrie...

You don't have to accept God's law, but acknowledging that it opposes homosexuality would be beneficial for other Christians, lest they be led astray by confusion.

I didn't catch the headline in the video.

I heard that he saw a difference in a behavioral issue and a non behavioral issue. And he is certainly entitled to feel that homosexuality is a behavioral issue.

morning--Let's hear back from you when your spouse cheats on you, & someone steals your car. No, we shouldn't hear back from you, because by your own logic you won't be able to call anyone a cheat or a theif. And let's get rid of all these courts with all their judges. Just who are YOU to judge MY opinion anyway? See how this works?

I actually have had a spouse cheat on me, I've seen adultery in my own parents' marriage. Am I GOD to judge them? Am I to expect forgiveness if I don't forgive them? It is one thing to proclaim Christianity, but a whole other ball of wax to live it. Somehow, compassion has been forgotten in Christianity unless it is convenient. Would it be fair to take my own bitterness, misgivings, and issues out on other people? I sure don't think so. Can I call someone a cheat, a thief, a murderer. By their very acts, I sure can. Does that mean I am allowed to cast judgment? Until I am petitioned to be on a jury, no I'm not. I'm allowed my opinion, but judgment is in the hands of our justice system and God above. Not sure when it became illegal to be gay.

I am questioning your opinion, raising valid questions. I have no right to judge you nor would I presume to do so. However, you left yourself open to be questioned and I took every advantage of doing so.

morning--You confuse judging something with comdemnation. Am I comdeming someone to Hell--no I am not--God WILL do that. Am I calling an apple an apple--yes, & that's a normal response. If God can openly, in His Word, call homosexuality an abomination, I certainly can state, without bitterness nor hate, what He says. He calls it sin, I agree with God--I could hardly be a Christian if I called God a liar & was embarrased of His view.

I don't at all. When I see someone who wishes to prohibits the rights of another individual, I classify that as judgment.

One can hardly be a Christian if one refuses to recollect that our sins have been bought and paid-for and that no sin is of less or more value than another, with the exception of blasphemy.

Don't distort the Bible for your liking or to support your own world view. That is why so many people want nothing to do with religion. Our job is to spread love and make known the love and mercy of God, our father, NOT to spread condemnation.

You don't think it would be Hell on earth to be discriminated against? Where is your Christian compassion?

morning--I'm distorting God's Word??? Did not Jesus say "Go & sin no more"??? Don't think I'm so foolish as to think that I think I never sin--that is ridiculous & extremely condesending of you. You are the one perverting Gods Word by making God out to be all love love love, peace, peace, peace. You want no one to be able to teach that there is sin--you're sending people yourself to Hell by lying to them! That is why we have so many gay "churches" now--because of ones like yourself. Jesus tells Truth--you spread lies & a lukewarm Gosple. There ARE reasons why Gods wrath is coming, ever wonder just WHAT causes His wrath? Well it certainly isn't because a person agrees with what God has said. Do I go out & burn down gays homes--NO. Do I call them lewd names-NO. Do I talk with gay folk--YES. Do I want them saved--YES. That IS compassion, that was Christs compassion--telling people the TRUTH so that they don't fall for LIES of the enemy, Satan.

Yes, he sure did. However, we are human and, try our best, it is impossible.

I don't endorse a gay church, however, I wouldn't impede their right to have one.

Yes, our job is to spread the message of truth, but it is also, as commanded by what is referred to as the eleventh commandment, to spread the message of love as well as love others as we love ourselves. Would we wish to be condemned and discriminated for our sins? I would think not. It takes compassion for us to put on the shoes of others and consider what they might be feeling and thinking.

I know many gay people who said they wouldn't be gay if they could choose otherwise.

Oh, yes, there most certainly ARE many reasons that God's wrath is coming and using his words to misrepresent him is most definitely one of them.

After considering your last few statements, I find it hard to reconcile them with someone who espouses the community being allowed less rights than the rest of us. I don't believe our compassion stops at what we say. It is our actions which define us. Do I agree, morally, with what they do? No, but I don't consider their sin to be any different than my own, so, therefore, they are to be treated with no less equality than myself.

morning--You are all mixed up. You are using mans logic, not Gods. Man says he can do anything he wants & no one can judge me, creating an anything goes society--just like we have now--just what you are advocating. You are advocating sin, saying because of Gods enduring Grace we can just willfully & knowingly live a life of sin & God doesn't bat an eye. We can continue in our adulteries & sleep around with anyone & everyone outside of marriage because we all have sinned. To you, forget about repentence. I do not know what god you serve, but it's clear we do not serve the same one.

That is completely untrue. It is just that I happen to recognize that my Savior died on the cross for the sins of ALL mankind. It is YOU that chooses to be selective about which men are created equal and deserve equal treatment. I remember, specifically, the instructions of Jesus that we are to love one another as ourselves.

Did I say forget about repentance? You're going to put words in my mouth now?

You, are most likely right that we don't serve the same God. I'll take this time to thank him for both big and small favors.

morning--No, you take Jesus' words of "Go & sin no more" to go ahead folks, teach ALL the little children that God loves ALL the sexual perversions you can muster. Do you also turn your back on God for His ideal in mariage? I can just see the Lord Jesus marrying two men & giving His full blessings because they should be treated equally. You are deceived, & leading others to destruction because you lie to them. The blind leading the blind. Gays leading in the pulpit, homosexuality being taught as a very good & natural thing to little children in school now, children don't know if they're boys or girls & that's just fine & dandy too. Unisex bathrooms whether one likes it or not--and why all this confusion?? Because of watered down, lukewarm "Christians" such as yourself, that would rather please man than God. We're living in Sodom & Gomorrah days & there will be very few Lots left to save when Jesus comes back again.

We have nothing further to say to each other. We've established that we can't possibly worship God in the same way and it is questionable whether we worship the same God at all. My savior is Jesus Christ, son God, crucified on the cross for the sins of ALL man. It's not rocket science. It's not difficult.

We are at an impasse and I just don't believe trying to drag this on is going anywhere, no productive value at all. We just flat disagree. Go ahead and get your last two cents or take your shot, but I am concluding this portion of the conversation.
