I've read every book Dawkins ever wrote. His arguments against God were so weak it amazes me that anyone would think he has an intelligent argument. They sound more like a temper tantrum against God than a reasonable explanation. He's even proposed that we could have been created by aliens. Another possibility he came up with was that we could be in a computer program, like the matrix. He's grasping for straws. I hope he wakes up and comes to God. But the longer a person resists, the harder their heart gets. He's playing with fire. (No Pun Intended)

An atheist is not somebody who asserts 100% without any possibility there is no God. Jesus people. It means lack of belief. He has been saying this from the begining. If you read his book God Delusion you would know this. And I have proof on youtube.

His comment is completely in line with every other comment he has previously made about his beliefs. He has never said that he believes 100% that God doesn't exist, and no one in their right mind ever would.

He's always advocated this point. No intelligent man claims to KNOW something exist/doesn't of 100%. What he claims is that with ALL the evidence/information we have on gods/birth of Christianity(in particler) and evolution it's highly unlikely that gods exist especially this particular one in the western world. The fact that people believe in things based on ignorance, cultural conversion, and have a large cognitive dissedence in thinking.

I highly doubt you have a more intelligent opinion on this. You simply want to believe and so you do, without any evidence, and relying on mindless dogma. He said theoretically we could have been created by aliens, which we could, not that he thinks it is likely. It is yes, far more likely than a Christian God created us, but still extremely improbable.

I just saw this. You did not read God Delusion or if you did you did not understand it. It isn't the job of an atheist to have evidence of a god. You have to demonstrate that evidence or else you are no more rational in that belief than if I were to tell you vampires and werewolves are real.

I have read both arguments. I read Christian apologetics all the time. I do not lack respect for somebody because they are religious but they are asserting without evidence. What evidence is there?

What? Hitchens said clear as day he wouldn't invoke any gods at his death bed. He even stated he knew some christians were going to make the claim after he died hence why he created the video.

Oh yes i'm aware of said discussion. He was saying if he DID happen to say it, consider him delusional (i'm paraphrasing) as he would be out of it and any mention of claims post death would most likely be a lie. Essentially he was warning us of false claims from untrustworthy theist.

No we don't, but it's highly unlikely as his previous view. To claim otherwise is the exact reason he mentioned this before his death.
