Resist Obamacare: No State Insurance Exchanges. Please sign the petition.
Published on DickMorris.com on November 20, 2012
States have until December 12 of this year to decide if they will set up
the insurance exchanges mandated by the Obamacare Law. These exchanges
will be the marketplace where health insurance is to be sold under the
so-called Affordable Care Act.
But each state has the right to decide for itself if
it wants to establish an exchange. If a state refuses, the federal
government will step in and do it for them and run the exchanges itself.
It will make a huge difference whether a state sets up
its own exchanges. The exchanges are likely to be an administrative
nightmare. Most likely consumers won't know how to use them, won't
understand the pricing and the options, and will have nowhere to turn
for help. All of our fears of federal incompetence will probably be
realized when these new exchanges are established.
If the exchanges are federal, Obama will get the blame
which he will richly deserve. The incompetence of federal regulation
will be manifest and the frustration will cause many to turn against the
Obamacare law.
Already governors in Ohio, Wisconsin, Alaska, Maine,
Indiana, Nebraska, Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina have
announced that they will not set up exchanges. New Jersey, Oklahoma,
Louisiana, Virginia and a host of other states have not yet reached a
decision. Experts say that about half of the states are expected to
refuse to establish the exchanges.
This is a crucial juncture in the implementation of
Obamacare. If states assume the responsibility for administering this
nightmare, the blame will not land on the president's doorstep.
And, if Obama's inability to meet any of the
deadlines in the law is any guide, he won't meet the requirement to
establish health insurance exchanges in time for 2014, forcing yet
another postponement of the implementation of the law. This will give
us a crack at the 2014 legislative elections where we might send an
anti-Obamacare majority to the Senate and could possibly block
implementation.
Resistance must be our policy!
Please sign this petition
asking your governor not to set up a health insurance exchange as
requested by the President under the Obamacare law. If he or she joins
many other governors in refusing to do so, the administrative burden
will fall on the federal government. Most likely they will fail to do
it efficiently and a further postponement of the law will be necessary.
Don't do Obama's dirty work for him! Tell you governor to stand up for
you!

Obama is too incompetent to set up the exchanges.
An overwhelming majority of governors are Republican; and they must be pressed to, like senators and representatives, be unanimous in their opposition to Obamacare.
