This kind of takes "sex doll" to a whole new level. According to "Robots, Men And Sex Tourism," a research paper by Ian Yeoman and Michelle Mars of the Victoria Management School in Wellington, New Zealand, robot prostitution could be a possibility by 2050. They would be made of "bacteria-resistant fiber," of course.

The paper agrees with a 2007 study done by David Levy, a Netherlands student who completed his PhD on human-robot relationships. He claimed that humans would be sleeping with robots -- and marrying them -- by 2050. He speculated that they would be so life-like, humans could actually fall in love with them. So what do you think? We know we have a few decades 'til it comes, but is the idea of sex robots sexy or sick?

Humans are machines to me. Complicated compared to our technology, but still just warm water and wires. We are born with a program from our DNA, and adapt to our surroundings. An advanced enough robot could be indistinguishable from a human, and even be convinced of its own free will as many of us are.

This is so disgusting, I rather live here in the present with the future technology we have, but sex robots? Really, this gets so preverted on so many levels! Instead of sex with a robot why not with your loved one, that is normal and totally human. This century and many centuries down the road should not come up with this, like yeah what are robots gonna robot babies, or another form of another disease. There's its ups and its downs but by, by far rather disgusting. But then again its my opinon on the input on this!

Ok, so I don't believe it's "sick" per se. Some people have their hobbies, and I have mine. But, I do not want robots becoming so realistic with a type of artificial intelligence that would make a man vs machine war like in "Terminator" possible.

Sex toys will only get better. Good thing too, if we keep asking our kids to wait until marriage. Plus, it will eventually mean that kids will stop getting married just to have sex and instead wait until they are ready for a REAL relationship.

Basing a marriage off of sex is a bad idea. I mean, it's like buying a house solely for the bathroom. (However, if the bathroom were to suddenly disappear, It would be difficult to stay committed to that house. Think of the sex bot as an outhouse you rent until you get the bathroom situation worked out.)

Well, really more pathetic than sick. I would pity the poor homely soul so ugly s/he couldn't find some flesh and blood human being to engage in coitus with. I mean, in my experience there's someone for everyone except perhaps in extreme cases of physical or emotional disfigurement.
