Republicans so focused on repeal of Obamacare they have no ideas about how to cover the 30 million who will become uninsured if it is repealed.

Wait it's 30 more million that did not have insurance, not 30 million who lose their coverage, get the facts straight, you and your party keep changing the goal post. Good Luck on finding a doctor to treat 30 million more people without insurance, and the 30 million more people who lose their insurance due to Obamacare. I feel sure that the 30 million has been proved to be a lie anyway. Medicaid for all.

You mean to tell me that "civilized" means forcing those who work for a living, to pay for those who do not? That is not "civilized"....it is suicide and bankruptcy.

The rest of us have been paying the medical bills of the uninsured for decades. Whether they are employed or not. Obamacare changes that. Finally.

How stupid are you.....Obamacare adds millions to that "we pay for them" bunch that you say we have been paying for.....so, how does Obamacare end that...do you have any idea where "tax" money comes from.......from us, duh.

it's a problem for them not the governments ,most of us pay out the wing wang for insurance we can either take or not take from where we work.I assume the insurance companies could if they so choose could come up with a plan at a much lower rate so people could afford it.

It is not the role of government to provide healthcare or healthcare insurance.

How can we claim to be free when we are dependent upon government to provide for us?

how would you provide for a wounded Iraq war veteran and his family? he's unable to work, can't get coverage for his "pre-existing conditions" and can't afford coverage for his wife and kids- now what?

how about a mentally challenged adult?

how about a 30 year adult stroke victim?

Injuries sustained in war are already covered.

ZERO taxpayer money should be used for anyone else.

Why don't you explain why I should be FORCED to pay for a 30 year old stroke victim? Why don't you pay for his bills with your money instead of mine?

I seriously doubt that as a stroke victim you would be able to pay your own bills let alone that your money would last very long.

Of course, we do that voluntarily thru charity.

The government already does that. So does your health insurance company.
And as a practical matter, how does a hospital decide who to treat, and who to refuse? The charity won't decide to pay the bill until later.

and the VA is.......Health care benefits and services from the Veterans Health Administration, part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, paid for by the United States Government.

and SSI is.....The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program pays benefits to disabled adults and children who have limited income and reaources and people 65 and older without disabilities who meet the financial limits a government run program.

so you agree the government does have a role in health care

by the way Obamacare is about insurance, there is a difference between health care and insurance.

yes they do have a role because then the veterans who need the services of the VA and the VA hospitals would be without care which I think the government owes that much to our men and women who have been injured in any way defending our country .I also think that because of the high cost of health insurance is the one problem we are not dealing with in the right way.
