You like the idea of getting dropped from your insurance if you get sick? You like them refusing to pay because they say it was a pre-existing condition?
What I can't understand for the life of me is why couldn't they get together, and work all this out in the beginning.... All it takes is a little give and take here... It ain't rocket science... and for all the grammar watchers out there, I know ain't isn't a word.
Damon, they actually did get together initially. The Republicans in Congress made a calculated decision to oppose anything that was put on the table, even ideas they had advocated in the past.
Listen, I'm not saying the Rep tried to block, and I'm not sayin the Dems rode roughshod over em... I'm sayin couldn't they all be adults about this, and work something out for the betterment of the Nation as a whole.
I would love to see them work together for the betterment of the nation Damon. If I gave the impression of being partisan I apologize. That definitely was not my intent. I watched the interactions intently & was relaying my observations. Our country needs its elected officials to conduct themselves like grown-ups & fix things, not make them worse.
Aww now, I seem to recall Rep making suggestions about purchasing insurance across state lines, Tort reform, and other ideas that would reduce health care cost. Every ideal was shot down by the left.
You can't buy insurance across state lines because it is regulated at the state level: each state has its own rules. Do you think the GOP would be for moving those rules to fed level? I don't see that happening. The public option would have leveled the playing field but the GOP shot that down.
I don't think any of this really matters... It's law now and the more people begin to use it, it will be impossible to take down... At best maybe they can tweak it, add some things, remove some... and make it work.
IT'S A QUESTION MARK.
