The Republicans have made it a campaign promise to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The president and Democrats refuse to make such a recognition, despite calling Israel an ally. Rhetoric instead of action may define Obama's presidency of "Hope and Change."

NEWSMAX.COM reports: Republicans Blast Democratic Platform for Dismissing Israel. George W. Bush’s White House press secretary Ari Fleischer made it clear he could not understand the Democrats’ decision to abandon the commitment to Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. “Given O’s troubles w Israel and Jewish vote, why on earth did Ds drop Jerusalem as capital from their platform?” he tweeted.

Former Governor of NM, and US Ambassador, Bill Richardson at the DNC basically said the same thing. REALITY??? Supplies and products are being smuggled into Iran by way of Iraq .... you know... the country where over 6,000 Americans died for their freedom spilling blood all over their country and IT IS ALL BEING IGNORED. Bill went on to say the nuclear material productions have slowed down....... REALITY??? Reports are saying doubled... their goal in at hand and they need to speed it up.

You missed alot, Has anyone taken their statements on things that's been about people in this country. Has the land been given back to native Americans? Have laws been passed to stop hate groups from having training cams to their hatred of minority groups here in America? like I said, get the facts!

Why does IRAN have to stop developing nuclear weapons when India, China, the US, North Korea, Russia, Britain and France already have it? oh the double standard view! and don't tell me that these countries especially ISRAEL are developing it for "peaceful purposes"! All have the same goal, it just Iran was open and clear about it!
The most important question here is why does not Israel admit to having nuclear weapons?! (Chew on that)

Not until the Entire USA recognises the REST of its allies as remotely existing beyond being a cash candy jar for them to borrow money from and a random island with some hopping giant rats where there are also people living...apparently -_-.

    - An Australian sick of hearing about how we have to help you with EVERYTHING because of the 'ally' card.

Who is the FIRST ONE they call on and the first one to respond in cases of invasion or a natural disaster? "If we stop all foreign aid, stop sending assistance, just get out of all foreign nations watch how quickly the anti-American sentiment dries up. They will be begging us to come back." Ron Paul

And THAT is why we resent it. The pompous smugness because we have to hold the hanky everytime your country sneezes actually pisses a lot of very average hardworking people off. We hate it when we are force to kow tow and your schools barely educate the generations what goes on outside their own borders while we pretty much know your entire history since before Columbus (now if you can name the man who discovered Australia that'd be pretty cool, but find 2 others who can).

And then to add insult to injury we keep hearing about Israel Israel Israel. WE aren't direct allies with them. We're allies by default through YOU so I don't understand what in high hells any of it has to do with us and why we still have to send our Diggers (troops) to die in wars you guys can't ever seem to stop.

This is pretty much the same reason why WW1 was a World War (and a stupid war). Here's the "simple" version of that.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

The whole 'doing stuff because of reasons!' excuse drives the rest of us nuts! And most of you can't even name OUR largest state (also the second largest single state in the world) or our capital city off the top of your heads like we can with yours without looking on Wikipedia!

If I had it my way the USA would not lift a finger to help nations that hate us. You are an individual not a nation. I am sure alot of Americans hate Australia likewise; nonetheless our nations are allies.

And to add something to a particular way you laid out your answer.

Who's also the FIRST one to yell at us for what we show on OUR tv. The FIRST one to label an entire country, ANY country thanks to a few (whether it be for racism or terrorism. OBVIOUSLY the whole freaken country did it and the USA is ALWAYS the first to point fingers).

We can all call Firsts on anything. But think on this...if YOU guys ever had a massive catastrophe and the rest of the world finally got too fed up with the arrogance...the tables can turn ever so quickly. The whole world gives aid to eachother due to good will but can only handle being mocked for so long.

Who in the hell came to our rescue on 9-11-2001 when Islam was blowing up NYC??? All of our allies were too damned scared; so they led from behind asd the USA punished those responsible. You don't speak for Australia; speak for yourself and it is reprehensible. With friends like you who the hell needs enemies???

9/11 was a shock to everyone and no, others did not leap to help the USA because it was an attack on YOUR soil and if we suddenly decided to go off to another country and smite them then WE would be held accountable for striking first for no reason. There would be none of that "Oh you did it because your allies were hit. Ok, that makes sense". No it would generally be the consensus that most allies would wait for the US Intelligence to garner enough information and then go from there, following their lead.

And it's wasn't Islam. Again with the incredibly broad labelling. It was the TALIBAN terrorist group who also so happened to be of the religion of Islam.

It's a blanket blame, throwing it over everyone instead of those actually responsible. I know back in the day the Muslims and Jewish did it too when the crusaders came to reclaim Jerusalem. Instead of saying "Oh the crusaders are the ones who sacked our homes and killed us" they said "It was the Christians. Each and every single one of them are responsible for this massacre."

It can LEAD to hate but has not yet...but your system of government and media need to stop reaching its tendrils out and interfering with the way we do things. I mean most of OUR Australian created businesses have been bought out by US corporations. We can't turn a single corner without bumping into a US owned business. The way we do things is dictated by your country and we're losing our identity and hating it.
It's a growing resenting that can most definitely lead to pulling out if the presumptuous arrogance continues. We don't OWE anything to the USA. Whatever you guys do for us we do for you. WW2 was not WON by the US (because if they had gone in by themselves they would have been massacred, especially in the Pacific without the help from the ALLIED forces) it was won by our joined side.

Now I have quite a few American friends who I get along swimmingly with so I never refer to the individuals when I say that the USA is NOT God's gift to earth so please PLEASE stop acting like it is.

As Americans I think yes absolutely. But that would be in direct conflict with obama being days away from giving yet another Billion dollars is so called "debt relief" to Egypt. That on top of the 1.3 Billion we already annually give them Add that the IMF momentarily will be giving them 4'8 Billion that we American taxpayer are on the hook for 17.9% of.Morsi may have resigned from the Muslim Brotherhood after the election but not their ideology ...one I do believe obama shares based on his actions. Enough already!

I'm assuming Bush must be a secret muslim as well for giving Egypt 1.2 to 1.3 billion each year specifically as military aid each year he was in power?

Comprehension problem? Or just another liberal stuck on Bush? I did not call obama a Muslim. And yes I do believe that he supports the ideology of the Muslim brotherhood remember he did support the "Arab Spring" uprising knowing full well what it would bring WE ALL did.And Yes we had long(get a clue before Bush) supported the Egyptian military and it's strong hold under Mubarak's dictatorship But much better than what's been proven (Iran) when Islamic leaders take hold of government. Too easy?

You criticized Obama for being about to give money to Egypt when Bush gave them more than that each year.

You stated that obama 'shares' the ideology of the muslim brotherhood... then changed that statement to 'supports' in your last statement. That little change makes a big difference, prehaps contributing to my comprehension problem.

I 'support' the rights of gay men being able to poke each other up the bum, but I dont 'share' in it...

I also have a comprehension problem with your last sentence. Well, I assume it's a sentence even though there is no punctuation to support that assumption.

quote "But much better than what's been proven (Iran) when Islamic leaders take hold of government. Too easy?"
