I couldn't even watch it to the end because I was enraged. I am of neither party but the young turks are obviously democrats and they are inciting war between the 2 parties. The guy they are talking about wants a revolution against a tyrannical government which is understandable because they have given themselves way too much power. Why isn't he talking about the NDAA. Bring that into the conversation, you have a government saying it can kill the people if they feel like it. What, are the people supposed to sit back and take it? And the couple things they mentioned about the bill, the congress did not need to make a whole bill mandating anyone to purchase Ins. all they had to do is make those few things law and not over 2000 pages of insanity. It is our duty to take down a tyrannical government, we are AMERICA the land of the FREE.

All have impacted my life. The most egregious one is the 16th Amendment which takes my earned money at the point of a gun and redistributes it as the government sees fit. It is a nasty law, and its legality has been questioned and covered up. It is the one I would like to see rescinded......in reality it's only claim to Constitutionality is that it was added to the Constitution. How's that for insane?

They don't have to if you dutifully pay them what they demand. And if you believe it is a request, just try NOT paying. Then is when you actually experience the force.

Ok so I have a novel idea, since paying taxes to the nation that you live in is soooo burdensome to you..... Why don't you pack up, MOVE AND RENOUNCE YOUR AMERICAN CITZENSHIP!

After all part of the freedom we have as Americans is that you have the freedom to get the hell out if you don't want to pay taxes for the things we enjoy & you take for granted!

Things we enjoy?! Welfare?! "Free" health care?! Year round vacations for those we pay?! Foreign aid, some of which goes to enemies?! Constant wars?! Regulations coming out the ying yang?! Millions of dollars spent on Obama's campaign stops under other guises?! YOU ENJOY THESE THINGS?!

I don't enjoy them, don't want them, don't enjoy paying for them, and will NEVER take them for granted. You are one sick cookie if you enjoy and take those things for granted!

You really should get over yourself.

While the majority of your rant can be easily dismissed as severely misinformed partisan gobblity-gook, you have one point .....countless wars that serve no national purposes or interests. I am and have been vehemently opposed to these wars over the last 2 decades that spilled the blood of thousands of Americans so that monied elites and oligarchs could enrich themselves.

I give the current administration a B- on this front. I didn't like that they were not more aggressive on the ramp down and exit timelines.... They are making our exit. Maybe you thought that the bohemouth that is the us military can turn on a dime, I however do not have such fantasies..... Can you say the same about the previous administration and the cabal of cronies that spread throughout the government like a cancer?

I quit. I cannot begin to babble as long as you can, and neither of us is going to convince the other about what is good, what is bad, what is fixable, what is not. Let's just say you like your America, I like my America, and the world will be better off if we never run into each other. Your platitudes come from what sounds like university babble. Mine come from cotton patches and lots of dirty sweat.

    You and I are incompatible.

Yes, I see it all the time. It is pitiful. There's more money for help, there's government housing, there's medicaid, there's Medicare - my parents had none of these things available to them - and if they HAD, they'd have shunned them. My folks were poor but proud. My dad, when offered a Coke one day by the store owner, asked if he could have a potato instead to take home. My parents never had health care insurance, had to scrimp and save for every penny, but they carried more than their weight. I watched my mother take burlap sacks, back in the '50's cut them apart, dye them green, and make window curtains from them.......before burlap was fashionable.

Too many Americans today ARE fat and lazy without an ounce of pride of accomplishment - doomed to live that way forever, because it is easier to hand them money than to teach them to earn their own money.

Kids of my grandmother's age could speak in Latin. High school graduates today frequently cannot spell "do" properly. Almost illiterate. We had it much rougher and that required tougher people. The more society provided, the less capable the people became.
I've watched this country self-destruct because of "compassion" (of the politically correct variety).......which isn't compassion, of course. It is a "make some...

It is a "make someone feel good about GIVING someone something the giver thinks the recipient needs. That is not compassion - it is the kiss of death, and the death of a brave wonderful country destroyed by those who know nothing about it.

Do I ever think about today and compare it to "when I grew up"? With every breath I take. And I feel so sorry for those sad souls who have been made serfs by the political left that it makes me MAD that they have been denied a real life.

oh please! inciting? perhaps the entire corrupt govt should be arrested for inciting harm to the people thru attempted dictatorship.
this is obviously an attempt to twist what davis said around. seriously,he was speaking rhetorically. the guy with the white hair had to throw the race card into the discussion didn't he? so this is not an honest discussion. i seriously doubt people are going to run out and take pot shots at politicians because of davis's opinion. if anyone is planting ideas ,its these 3.

Let's change your approach. Can you explain government's need to confiscate our means of protection?
  • Geenie ... Tasine 2012/06/30 17:42:36 (edited)
    Geenie Nabottle
No one is trying to "confiscate" your means of protection. I am a proud gun owner that supports reforming gun legislation. In fact I will be spending my Sunday at a lovely outdoor gun range.

My question to you is when the founding fathers wrote the constitution do you think they had any inkling that one day there would be guns that can chop down a seqouia tree with one pull of the trigger? Or do you think they could fathom munitions that have the ability to pierce bullet proof vests and steele?

My last question to you is outside of a rifle, hand gun and shotgun..... What else do you need to defend and protect your family and property??? Or are you just a spoiled petulant child that is reduced to the argument of "I want more guns just because I can have them"

Guns were created with one purpose, which is to kill. When a person purchases a gun they are accepting the fact that they are willing to take the life of another. I do not believe that responsibility should be treated with the same feckless approach as if people are collecting comic books or video games!

Lady, it is not just republicans. All but democrats wants the whole damned government replaced and have wanted it for the past 20 years and they keep pushing for the people to stand the hell up and they haven't. You may have forgotten how we got this country. We are supposed to be free and they have taken all of our freedom away and gave themselves permission to kill anyone they want. The young Turk guy said it well, he used the word a few times, FORCE! They are using force for everything over the people, and it is just plain wrong. Why you can't see that is beyond me. We need to replace this government and restore ALL of our freedoms. No more left and right, that is doing nothing but dividing the people which allows big government to become what they have. We all need to unite.

"The Republic" Is a title that is used to describe a Countries Freedom.....Freedom means that you elect a government to serve your people all the people and not just the one single grouping that serves and financially supports the leadership of that elected government. Freedom, also means that the opposition to the elected government also have rights to ensure that that elected government are within their rights to oppose policies that disaffect the population as a majority.

As we have seen during last summer and beyond the Left wing media and supporters of the current Obamination defecating the White House, fully supported the mass demonstrations of occupation that disrupted and vilified everybody else's lives and not just in America.
