Republican Hypocrisy?

Republicans, like Ryan and Bachmann, have used government funding in the past to assist in establishing their current lifestyles. Now, they stand on "The Hill" and preach less government; cuts, cuts, and more cuts. Why don't we start with their gaudy salaries and benefit packages? Ryan, a millionaire, makes $174,000 a year; why? If eh believes in less government, he should be the first one in line to take a pay cut!

You said, " Ryan and Bachmann, have used government funding in the past to assist in establishing their careers"

Can you post links to the verification of this statement?

"Why don't we start with their gaudy salaries and benefits packages?"

What does that have to do with Ryan? The Tea Party came into being
because the congress is corrupt and votes for bills that benefit them.

"Ryan, a millionaire, makes $174,000 a year; why?"

That said about the congress, where is the information that Paul Ryan is a millionaire?
He doesn't have a home in DC, but instead sleeps in his office {you would be
surprised at how many in the House do} and goes home every weekend to be with
his family and constituents. Just where can I find the information you base the
statement that Paul Ryan is a millionaire. Harry Reid, a former boxer, is a millionaire
who lives in the Ritz Carlton....Pelosi is a millionaire that uses tips in congressional
hearings to vote on insider's information on the stock market.......in all fairness
now that that little congressional privilege has been exposed, it is now illegal

So you think that Wall Street and the Corporates should just have a free hand at everything? They should be allowed to kill you with cancer, and be so big that our whole economy will collapse unless we bail them out? They should be allowed to poison our waters to the point that there is no longer any safe water to drink - even after purification attempts? They should be allowed to cut costs to the point that no safety measures are taken at all? Why bother? Another Oil rig blows up men die and more waters and lands are poisoned, well..., we'll just jack up the price on oil to pay for it! They say: "The people are stupid enough to let us do it - they'll just blame the Democrats for the high cost of oil - and that's good for us anyway!"

    Is that what you want?

But yet, radical laws telling people that they can't use contraception, 1001 laws against abortion - even in cases of rape and incest, Gays can't marry, laws against children from other countries that know of no other home but the USA, racial profiling, voter suppression laws, "Stand Your Ground" Laws, loss of Democracy in the USA, just to name a few...,

    THAT is not BIG GOVERNMENT?

look at the money Harry Reid is "earning" as Senate Majority leader and he hasn't accepted a budget from the House in 3 years? How is this guy worth tens of millions of dollars when his income as a representative and a senator doesn't warrant such an accumulation of money? btw, Romney has done public service without pay for over 20 years...where is a Democrat politician that can say that? When he was in college and afterwards did his missionary work....check it out in Wikipedia...anyway the main thing I want to emphasize is that he isn't doing this for the money that he will profit from...all to often (Reid, Pelosi, for example) are in govt. service to profit themselves....

sure he got federal help for the Olympics...it wasn't for "personal gain"...also at the time it would be stupid to not get federal matching funds for the Olympics. Salt Lake City was representing the United States of America to the world stage....Democrats, Republicans, Independents supported putting on the best show possible...what's important is to have a Chief executive officer making sure the event happens efficiently and effectively..the U.S. Olympic committee didn't have that until Romney showed up....

If you can find a link that substantiates what you claim, by all means please post it..You will also notice on Issa's money is that he worked for it...whereas John Kerry married it (twice), Nancy Pelosi was from a wealthy family and married money, Reid is a corrupt Dem (who knows how he accumulated his money), Kennedy never worked a job in his life, just sayin. The Republican that won his seat actually made his own money also....why democrat followers believe that rich privileged politicians can really represent their best interests boggles my mind....

What link to substantiate what? All these pols leave Congress rich from lobbyist bribes, perks, insider trading, and campaign contributions making them on the hook to legislate for these said lobbyists.. Scott Brown in MA has received most all his dough from Wall St. to so far outraise his opponent, Elizabeth Warren. Boehner's $88,000.00 for golfing outings in 2011 you think came from his salary?

Issa made a tidy sum when his warehouse burned to the ground. Funny that all the computers had been removed before the fire happened, and arson charges then were dropped. It is his voice on the Viper alarm system he developed for vehicles. I don't envy any of these folks as I know they are all corrupted, especially the career ones.
