Paul Ryan, the House Budget Committee chairman and Republican from Wisconsin, says that the GOP is not looking for a government shutdown.
Is he lying? Because it sure looks like they are.
Ryan says that his party is serious about federal spending cuts -- but that the GOP wants to avoid a government shutdown as much as possible.
Pfft. Looks like they just want to create problems to me. What ever happened to working together on issues rather than calling a strike when you don't get exactly what you want?

P.S. I have no idea what "delusions of granger" means. If "grandeur" is the word you're looking for, then I have to laugh at that and the psychopath comment, as you have no basis in fact for the comments, and I think you were really reaching on both counts.

The budget was due LAST OCTOBER, six months ago. If the Democrats had done their job then we wouldn't be having this discussion.
If the government shuts down (no great loss if it does), the responsibility lies squarely with the Democrats... not that they will take it.
There may be a shutdown, even though the Republicans try like hell to work with the Looters.
