Rep. Maxine Waters to Tea Party: "Let’s get it on". Which side would win this match?
California Congressman Maxine Waters told Denver Democrats tonight that Republicans are waging a war on women on issues ranging from health care to wage disparity.
During her speech at the 5th annual House District 7 Unity Dinner, she accused Republicans of attackingPresident Obama any chance they get.
Congresswoman Maxine Waters and House Minority Leader Mark Ferrandino at tonight's House District 7 Democratic Unity Dinner in Denver. Waters served as the keynote speaker, while Ferrandino was cheered when he was introduced as the next speaker of the House.
“We cannot allow the opportunities that America stands for to be eroded by those who simply want to bring this president down,” she said.
She was cheered when she said, “After a good night sleep, I wake up the next day, and I say, ‘Come on, Tea Party, let’s get it on.’”
Among those present at the dinner: Congresswoman Diana DeGette; Denver City Councilwomen Robin Kniech and Mary Beth Susman; state Rep. Angela Williams and Sen. Mike Johnston, who represent House District 7; and Sen. Pat Steadman and House Minority Leader Mark Ferrandino.
Republicans criticized Democrats for inviting a congresswoman facing ethics charges. Waters said she was there at the invitation of Williams and “that’s that.”

lying just comes so easy to you.
just curious...
Now, if she where personally to challenge Sara Pailn, I'm going with the Momma Grizzly in that one as well.... :-)
So, get over the idea that every brother gets a pass for stupidity and every sister is upheld no matter how stupid she sounds……..to quote my southern white friends – “that dog don’t hunt”.
Now, be nice…
Race is always present, can't be denied. I can say I wish I was Italian so I could have wavy hair, but not happening. Race is a characteristic just like height, weight and demeanor - we humans judge it. The fat guy is out of shape, maybe he's a Sumo - but unlikely. The tatted up Hispanic guy, with his pants hanging below his butt, maybe a Rhodes Scholar - probably not. The black dude in the big dodge pickup with the cowboy hat, pulling a stock trailer full of cows is probably a rancher - now some people wouldn't think I owned the truck or the cows, but that's their problem not mine. The white woman with 8 inch stilettos on and a shirt showing the curve of her butt on Speedway BLVD in Tucson at 11:30 at night on the street corner maybe a interpretative dancer waiting on her ride to the theatre, probably not. A saying that I really dislike is “it is, what it is”….mainly because it’s nonsense English…but, I suppose it does express a certain exactitude about people....

A saying that I really dislike is “it is, what it is”….mainly because it’s nonsense English…but, I suppose it does express a certain exactitude about people. Generally speaking – they are what they appear to be, and if you hear them speak you now have confirmation or denial of that appearance.
I do not presume or assume anything about anyone, but I do use judgment based on years of experience and observation – if it looks like a duck sort of logic. So, when I hear Ms Boxer, a black woman, say “this liberal is all about the government owning the oil companies”, I know it wasn’t for her educational background, her business acumen or her sound reasoning that people in her district voted for her.
At least that’s what my 60+ years of experience would tell me about her. And when I hear, “let’s get it on” coming from her mouth, my early years are remembered and the remembrances of the blows beginning to fall return. Now, if she had said, “I welcome a spirited debate and revealing of facts and historical truths”, gosh I would have been impressed instead of going “shish, are we EVER going to outgrow using such language in our official dealings”. I’ll tell you I felt the same thing when Mr. Bush couldn’t pronounce Nuclear…I mean come on man, you can do it.
I tell all of my children and grandchildren - walk, dress and speak as you wish to be perceived....so far all but one of the granddaughters is taking the advice very well.
LOL, Weiner and Waters, the GRUESOME TWOSOME!!! And they will both have a wonderful future too!!!
We are stuck with her for a while since she is from California.
