Well I don't honestly think that Obama can keep that promise. Mr. Wilson was wrong to yell out in the middle of the President's speech, but I am glad that he said what a lot of us were feeling.

I had to leave work right after I came in yesterday due to a sick child, but the one thing I made sure I got done before I left was to e-mail rep Wilson to thank him.

Let me ask a question here to all of you who believed he lied. For the sake of argument - let's say that he Didn't lie.
Let's assume that Illegal Aliens WON'T get any care.
NOW - imagine one of them has a dangerous disease that can spread quickly.
NOW - imagine that you have your way, and that illegal alien gets NO healthcare. (They don't GO to the hospital because they know they won't get any, OR they are turned away).

NOW WHAT?

Personally I think that he is being truthful - and I'm not entirely certain (given the above scenario) that is a good thing for us all.

Here is a great scenario for ya.......NOW let's imagine that all the illegals were rounded up and shipped home............I WISH i would get that one to come true.

But I think he was being honest too. He intends to pass an amnesty program and there will be no illegals that way too.

But the fact is our LAW REQUIRES anyone who shows up at an emergency room be treated. However I would be willing to bet I can name SEVERAL countries who have a 0% illegal community. Our immigration laws ARE enforcable, they just won't do it.

I would wager Cuba, N Korea and several others. Please note I did not say we would want to live in any of those countries......

The point is we could get there if the gov made it a priority. But they won't.

Joe is a hero for saying what needed to be said, Obummer is a liar and a fraud, nothing more than a street thug from Chicago.

Technically, he may have been telling the truth, in a parsed kind of way, but I would say his comments were misleading at best. Maybe "his plan" wouldn't cover illegal aliens per se, but they could still get treated if they went to an emergency room... at someone else's expense.

Read the constitution if health care is opened up for everyone as public health care everyone must be treated equal legal and illegal. Obama knows this the public does not have access to free legal council that can advise on the legalities of this mess. If you still believe him after doing your research all I know then is you cannot fix stupid.
