Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) on Monday proposed legislation that would block enforcement of Obama's new executive order unconstitutionally giving amnesty and work permits to 800,000 illegal aliens. Do you support Schweikert's action?

We have immigration laws, it is the Constitutional duty of the President and Congress to enforce them.

I support him and I would also support cutting obama's hands off so he could never pick up another executive order pen.

He has no business going around Congress to enact something like this. He must've been worried he wouldn't get it passed, but if our President could do all this on his own (Like Obama thinks he can) we'd not be a Democracy. He has to work with them, AND the will of the people he's supposed to be representing! He didn't ask us for our vote on it!

Absolutely. The dictator in chief had no right to perpetrate this illegal act and it needs to be repealed. But, you just got to love Obama's cluelessness here: He's going to solve the unemployment issue by introducing more people into the system?!?

He is following everything I have predicted he would do. I just hope he does not do everything because this was just a little pebble thrown in the pond and today he threw a rock, what will it be tomorrow.

I'm surprised he doesn't sign an executive order stopping all future elections and declaring himself our permanent supreme dictator.

I agree something must be done. However, Obama going around Congree is not the way to handle this. There must be a concerted effort to solve the problem. Both partys are culpable in using this as a tuchstone for votes. That is patetly wrong.
The people who Obama targeted for this are undoubtedly deserving of some relief. This is not Bahrain where only the native race can be considered citizens.

The ONLY reason Obama did this is to get 800,000 + ILLEGALS to VOTE for him... otherwise he doesn't give a tinker's DAMN about these people

I raved you for posting, not because I agree with what you stated. NO ONE, not even our own citizens, is entitled under the Constitution to go to college at taxpayer expense.

There is NO right to tax-funded college educations under the Constitution.
  • Ken tncdel 2012/06/21 18:58:02

I agree with both of you. It is not the taypayers duty to supply a Government provided college education, but if they did, Americans first.

I hope he will stick to his guns, and if any of his fellow representatives have any sense whatsoever, they'll cheerfully join him. Obama really over-reached on this one. Even his more intelligent supporters know this.
