Remove all pages making fun of people with Progeria, such as Adalia Rose

There are several Facebook pages that have been reported repeatedly but Facebook refuses to remove them. The page creator is making fun of people with Progeria, some of the pages are posting pornographic images photo-shopped onto the children's faces and it's very disturbing. I can't imagine how upset these children and their families would be if they saw the hateful posts being made. Please, we must stress to Facebook that this kind of cyber bullying should not be allowed!

I Don't want children suffering from this disease to see the hateful pages creating calling them aliens.

    Actually, after thinking about it, I should have said disagree.

    While I find websites/pages/blogs of this kind reprehensible, I have to defend the rights of those to express their opinions. It's up to us not to look at their content and give them the attention they are SO desperate to garner.

    It is truly sad what someone will do just to get attention nowadays.

    I think there should be a line between free speech and hateful, unlawful comments. I don't see how trying to make another human being feel guilty for being alive is. There is a difference between having a "unpopular" (like saying someone with this disease shouldn't be alive) opinion and saying someone specifically to be hurtful and demeaning. But, I respect your opinion.

    I can't disagree with you but if we/they start banning, blocking, or shutting down content, we start to go down a slippery slope. What's really sad is how our sense of decency is deteriorating minute by minute... take your "friend" Chaos, whether she is serious or not, there are some issues there.

    i do understand about the slippery slope. Unfortunately we can't force people to be decent human beings. I'm certain chaos is a troll/fake profile that's why I blocked "her". I don't have time for idiots like that.

She is a human being, just like everyone else. she didn't choose to be born with that disease, and to make fun of a child and say they don't deserve to be living is disgusting.

    I have two sweet little girls from my area that have this disease on my facebook & I can only imagine the anger & hurt it must cause the parents who would come across such ignorance! Thank you for bringing attention to this.

    Me too. It's the one thing that gets my blood boiling more than anything else. Children are precious & the purest form of innocence & they should not be treated or talked about like that. It's ok, the sick people who do that & all the others that join along will get theirs, one day! Believe it.

    I didn't look at the Facebook pages. While ridiculing those suffering from any disease or disability is always disgusting, allowing it on such a public forum as Facebook just doesn't seem right at all, in spite of our 'free speech' rights. I will sign.
