Remembering 9/11
KSJR362 - Not what you think

I remember this day so clearly and still feel the pain I felt.
But moreover, I remember 9/12. When the shock started wearing off and the reality set in. I remember the sense of unity we felt. There were no Democrats or Republicans, no Christians or Muslims, no straights or gays, no countries even.
There was only the sense of, "you saw it, you are my brother, you are my sister."
Though this is a reference to Christianity, this one scene always makes me feel peace when I think about 9/11 ... It makes me remember the concepts of peace, unity and mostly hope. Hope because the scene was filmed before the towers were completed.
