GOP Chairman Reince Priebus called Harry Reid a “dirty liar” today for accusing Mitt Romney of not paying taxes for 10 years.

Democrats want to make the election about Mitt Romney’s taxes.
Republicans want to make the election about issues.
Good for Reince Priebus.

Reid's net worth is estimated to be around $10 million. Reid has never had a high-paying job in his life, and has almost always been employed in the public sector. As a Majority Leader of the Senate, he is paid $193,400 annually. So how, exactly, did Reid acquire his multimillion dollar portfolio of real estate and mining interests?

The short answer is CORRUPTION! For years, Reid has been the beneficiary of sweetheart land deals in Nevada. Reid’s cronies, some of whom keep coming up in organized crime investigations, have made him a wealthy man. But neither mobsters nor real estate developers give money away for free.

You have to wonder what favors Reid has done, what strings he has pulled, that have been worth millions to his benefactors? Reid is a poster boy for cronyism and corruption, an image to which all Democratic Senate candidates should be tied.

The Senate floor and the Senators there are paid by taxpayer money (me), to conduct BUSINESS for the American people. So how is questioning Romneys taxes that were apparently filed properly with the IRS conducting business for the American people???????????????????????... Reid... a 1$93,000 WASTE of taxpayer money.....

I read the paige on Reid at Celebrity Net Worth. Reid was in Navada politics from '69-'82 when he firs won a seat in the US House. Since 1982 he has been either in the US House or the US Senate, with no private sector job to speak of.

And the bastard is worth multi millions in his own right. I guess it comes in handy being able to write tax laws to hide behind yourself.

Reince calls many people a liar. He should look in the mirror at himself to see a true hypocrit. He rants to help his client win the election, but voters realize it is just spin and will backfire for their party. The point is, Romney is trying to hide his taxes from voters; and honest candidates provide enough so their dealings are transparent and show they have nothing to hide. His refusal shows some fear of discovery and is reason enough not to vote for Mitt Romney.

I'm so glad you explained who Reince Priebus is. I would have thought him/her to be an Olympic swimmer or maybe a runner from Uruguay. Anyway, the name calling is terribly juvenile for an adult. In fact, it is just wholly unacceptable among intelligent (maybe that is the key?) persons in positions of national responsibility.

One sure way to put an end to the suspicions that MItten is hiding something so vile and
damaging as to end his campaign even before he is nominated - just release ten years of tax returns and let the public decide for themselves if this man is really one they would want to be in charge of the largest and most powerful office in the world.

Of course you would, you would pick Don Rickles if he were nominated by the Party of No, as you are an ideologue. That is OK, of course, as there are a lot of people out there of similar habits who can be counted on to vote without any reason other than a party loyalty. However, the issues of whether this man has lied about his involvement with Bain Capital as it sold American industries to China and India, and whether or not he has filed false tax returns and failed to disclose his "offshore" accounts and incomes, these things are not going to go away as if they were just WMDs. He is alleged to have $100MIllion in a tax free 401k account which generally is limited to about $6,000 annual contribution. Now, millions of voters want to know how he accomplished that little token of savings.

I wonder how you sneak a $100 million into a 401k with a $6,000 annual contribution limit. But, you do know that the limit one can contribute to a 401K is $17,000 and over 50 it's $22,500. Now, a Roth IRA is $6.000. But, seriously now, do you really think a guy like Mitt Romney would waste his time with 401K's or IRA's? Really?

You assume too much; I've voted for Dems in Presidential elections and even an Independent once. Sorry, but obama's draggin' this Country down a rat hole and I for one will do my best to not let that happen.

Obviously you haven't given enough thought to the problems of this nation to make a statement such as that. As I told you earlier, we make room for people like you, knowing that half of all voters who will go to the polls in Novdember will not have any rational basis of why they will vote for a particular candidate, except their party affiliation and maybe some vague story of good or bad they heard from a media pundit. You are in a large
