The humanitarian thing to do is to close the border and allow legal entry. Then you don't have people risking their lives in a 120 degree desert to come here and live. You also do not have those that are killed by those that are suppose to lead them here. It also cuts down on the drug traffic which cuts down on crime and violence in America.
Have you ever spent a day watching Mexican laborers picking a crop? I don't care who you are if you do that you will have a new respect for them but that does not mean anyone should just be able to walk across our border.

Okay, i agree with closing the border. I do respect the Mexican laborer. What I am not for is attempting to round up all illegals that are here now and deporting them. Too big a job and too expensive a job.

I would agree with starting a round up. I have no problem with deporting anyone that could not produce proper papers during a routine investigation. Most migrant workers are peaceful trouble avoiding people but if you cross the law deportation is a good thing. Mexico deports you if you cross illegally and it's no picnic. Also you can not work in Mexico if you are not a citizen. If you buy property there it is illegal to work on it unless your a citizen. You have to hire Mexican labor. I know I was loooking into buying a home there.

They come here because they are not happy with the way things are in Mexico, we should not seek to be like Mexico.

Actually it's not because their unhappy with Mexico. It's mostly to work and make good money. Most send their money home to their families and put it in the bank there. Mexican banks pay around 10% intrest. Many will retire then go back and live a nice life. The cost of living in Mexico is low. I personally have a standing offer to go live outside of Guadalajara. A good friend of mine owns a ranch there.
First thing just sel the border as far as the rest we can figure it out later. I'd be for deporting anyone that breaks the law for now.

They come here because a place to live, food, medical and school are all free and you get a tax rebate at the end of the year. After this, there are those that work, but they collect far more in benefits than they ever put into the system. The average cost of each illegal immigrant is not less than 30k per a year. Multiply that by an average of 5 to 8 immigrants in each family having 2 parents and 4 or more kids and you have cost to the American tax payers of not less than 15ok per year per family assuming they are all healthy. Whom exactly is supposed to cover those costs? Certainly not the US Government as is has no capacity to earn money. Its money comes from American tax payers weekly pay check and know where else. So this comes right back to each of us as an individual and having to make those exorbitant payments knowing full well that it will never be paid back, knowing the system we pay into will use all of its received funds and have nothing left for US when its needed and then those that have taken the free ride are still standing there with their hands out and are pissed off that they are not getting more. Do you have "empathy" for Americans that will work their entire lives and then enter old age poor and hungry or "empathy" for those that buried this county.

Thats very true. They do not care what Americans want. They are in power and plan on using it to bring down the country. First things first. Bankrupt the economy after that everything will be wide open.
