You can get a poll to say ANYTHING it depends how the question is asked, and who the group was who were sampled . This poll i suspect is complete BS, and I am not a republican though I wouldn't feel insulted in the least to be called one.

All one has to do is listen to Levin, Limbaugh, Hannity, Malkin and Mike Savage to find out why people think such.

This story, (not mine) seems to sum it all up. Well to me anyway.

" Maybe you heard the story about the gatekeeper to a city and a man entering the city asked the gatekeeper, "What kind of people live here?" The gatekeeper in return asked the man what kind of men lived in the city he came from and the man replied, "They were generous loving people, always doing good for others, the best anyone could hope for," to which the gatekeeper replied: "That's the kind of people you will find in this city."

Then a second man came to the gate and asked the same question: "What kind of people live here?" to which the gatekeeper asked the man the same question: "What kind of people lived in the city from where you came?"

"Oh! they were mean and awful people, always causing trouble," to which the gatekeeper replied, "That's the kind of people you will find here."

In other words, "You Find What You Seek!" "

Very rarely does a poll 'lie'. Although, they are often misleading. Regardless, the GOP needs to analyze and address these things, rather than blow it off as a lie.

I can think of numerous things liberals should address but they seem to think only Republicans should be doing this.

My thoughts exactly. Liberals really do think their s--- doesn't stink.

In my experience, you can get through to a conservative, as in you can get them to entertain your thoughts. They tend to understand the "entertaining an opposing thought does not meaning accept it" idea. Liberals, on the other hand, are largely incapable of entertaining thoughts outside their own. There are exceptions to this, but they tend to be rare. The older I've gotten (and I'm not old) the more I've realized this to be true.

Liberals/Democrats still talk about Republicans being the party of Wall Street, all the while Obama cuddles with Google, BOA, and Goldman Sachs. It's really quite amazing to see how these people can continue to believe what they believe. Simply put, it's a delusion.

87% of the people that USE the term, mean it as an insult - and associate it with greed, racism, and violence.

Most actual Republicans just consider themselves conservatives.

While, republicans that I personally know are great (and some conservatives as well), the ones that represent the party are just terrible. Boehner saying, "Mr. President, you got your tax increase." Really? Is it a tax increase if they get out of paying it through tax loopholes? Romney with his 47% comment. Rush and the 9,000 nasty and inappropriate comments that he makes, yeah, they've gone to the party of jerks. Even Scarborough has said that the republicans are so far askew that their like what the democrats USED to be like.
