The New York City Police Department has shown a major history of being poor shots within the last 30 years. The officers at the Empire State Building shooting demonstrated in the video a clear lack of gun handling skills. As a result, 9 innocent bystanders were wounded by police gunfire.

Does the NYCPD need to change the training requirements in order for an officer to carry a gun?

Oh yea... Just because they are police, doesn't mean they are good shots!

So much for those people who say Only police should have guns!

By the way, in the picture, this NYCPD officer has his Aimpoint weapon sighting device mounted backwards. In other photos, you can find NYCPD officers making similar mistakes.
