Re: Obama's gaffe, if success is due to others, is not trying or failure do to others too?

With elementary logic, there are rules to true statements. If one concludes that people helping you, roads, and government assisting you are responsible for your success, then you HAVE to conclude, those who FAIL, or not try, behave irresponsibly, or don't do their best- aren't responsible for their outcome either. Furthermore, you HAVE to conclude, that their failure is due to people who tried to help them, the roads, and government "helping" them. I suppose to some extent this true when you are encouraged to part take in a government program that fails because you CAN'T CONTROL THE EFFORT OF ALL PARTICIPANTS! Like federal lending programs telling banks who they HAVE to lend to- to accept high risk loans. (This drove up the cost of housing by flooding the market with buyers. Other high risk borrowers who were irresponsible, ended up defaulted on their loans, creatied a situation that devalued housing, and affected responsible borrowers (SARCASM---> "thank you "others" who over exaggerated the default bamdwagen". Programs only work when everybody tries. Too mant people defaulted that didn't need to- and there were warnings that the 2004 Congress sought assistence from Dems to address. In conclusion, if like Obama says other people are responsible for your success or failure. The reality is, our countries RIGHT to pursue an education, and decide how hard you want to work- instead of FORCING you to study a certain intensity, or do a certain job, is the REAL reason behind successful people. IT'S THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE, just like the best teachers, coaches, programs, can't MAKE YOU FAIL- again, It's CHOICE and freedom- NOT because someone built a road for you. To say so would be as stupid as saying Britian is responsible for the success of American because of the ships that brought us here, or the religion that inspired us to leave England. It's a overly simplistic argument, meant to defy those who don't want to face the real reason programs don't work- people's choices.
