Your argument is the rich get richer and the middle class stays the same but if the middle class were to become richer then they would then be rich hence eliminating the middle class all together leaving only the poor amd rich....being rich, poor, middle is about class distinction....being considered poor middle rich when it comes to government taxation is about economic contribution....those who make more pay more...what's wrong with giving some tax relief to those who create jobs...which we desperately need

You don't read well do you? I am for giving tax relief to those who create jobs. The real job creator is the middle class whose demand for goods and services results in many businesses trying to meet that demand. Squeeze the middle class and you squeeze the job creator.

Under Mitt's plan, the estate tax will be eliminated. Now before you jump for joy and say less tax for me to be worried about, please be advised that very few people have to worry about the estate tax. Less than 10% and may even be less than 5%. Sounds good right?

But if the estate tax goes, the step up valuation in the tax code also goes. This allows one to value inherited property as of the day of death as opposed to when the property was first obtained. In my case, my family inherited my parents home which at the time of my mother's death was valued at $800,000. Under Mitts plan we would have to use the original cost of the home which was less than $50,000. So if we sold the house today for $900,000 we would be looking at capital gain taxes on $100,000 but under Mitts program we wold be looking at capital gains on $850,000. Just a bit of a difference. See how the rich would become richer while the middle class does not?

We should not be having a pipeline that could pollute much of America's prime land. That is just plain stupid. Frankly let them sell it to China. America should be developing alternative energy that is not dependent upon putting 2 million year old carbon into the atmosphere. Stop believing that climate change is no threat. It is. We do not want to become like Venus.

Guess what... compared to them half of them with degree's, masters, phd's even, some of them are CEO's of their own companies... we are stupid. Less than half the population are as learned as they are. (Sames goes for the UK) therefore, they are more likely (not a certainty but extremely likely) to be more intelligent than the rest of us.

If you don't want to be treated as stupid, ascertain why you are being viewed as stupid. Is it because of lousy grammar and spelling? Is it because of how you present things? Do you have the real life experience in the relevant topic?

Consider and improve. There is ALWAYS room to improve so head off back to school pick up those grades.
