So much for "liberalism". I guess the "liberty" to post whatever I want wherever I want doesn't apply to non-liberals.

The meaning of word in US was changed, highjacked.
Liberals are against liberty, freedom of speech, freedoms of those who not agree with them, they against constitution, etc. They are for Gov. Control / Big Gov., etc.

    Libertarians are for Liberty.

No... libertarians (especially Ron Paul libertarians) are for anarchy... which is anything but liberty. They don't believe that there should be ANY government, they don't believe that government has ANY AUTHORITY whatsoever, including the powers and authorities and responsibilities specifically named in the Constitution. That is anarchy, by definition.

I would suggest that anti-government libertarians go to places like Somalia, Sierra Leone, and other similar places where there is no effective government, and see what life in a place with no government really looks like. Ask some Somalis if they feel liberated and free. Ask some of them if they would prefer a strong, powerful government that keeps control over the warlords and gang leaders that destroy their lives. Then they can see what the policies they are pushing for look like in real life.

There is a huge difference between liberty and anarchy, and libertarians miss that.

Actually Republicans are more reasonable, more for Constitution, freedom, etc.
Republicans are for Small Government, favor small businesses, middle class.
Democrats for Big Government, favor Big Businesses, parasites on food-stamps, etc.

Also, Democrats started more deadly wars.

    Wars Score:

    Democrats: 16
    Republicans: 10

Source: Wikipedia, Robert Leckie's The Wars of America, etc.

Indian Wars occurred in every Presidency up to the 20th Century. Many were the results of broken treaties. They will not be counted.

Franco-American Naval War(Quasi War): John Adams, Federalist(Ancestor Party of the Republicans); See XYZ affair for reason of war

First Barbary War: Thomas Jefferson, Democratic-Republican(Ancestor Party of the Democrats); Tripolitians ransomed American Sailors and tried to blackmail US. When the US refused the Pasha(equivalent to king) declared war.

Second Barbary War and War of 1812: James Madison, Democratic-Republican; Second Barbary War began the same way as the first only with the Bey of Algiers declaring war. While the War of 1812 can be argued as being a war about sailor's rights, the real motive was Canada.

Mexican-American War: James K. Polk, Democratic; The Republic of Texas had a claim to Land between the Rio Grand and San Antionio(which the US inherited), which was not...

Mexican-American War: James K. Polk, Democratic; The Republic of Texas had a claim to Land between the Rio Grand and San Antionio(which the US inherited), which was not valid. Polk sent troops to the territory to protect it and the Mexican government sent troops to drive it out.

American Civil War: Abraham Lincoln, Republican; First fought to preserve the Union(the right to secede is still debated to this day) later to end slavery.

Korea(1876); Ulysses S. Grant, Republican; Called Choson at the time, the country attacked and destroyed an American Navy Vessel. The war was fought with similar motives as Perry's visit with Japan.

Spanish-American War and Phillipine Insurrection: William McKinley, Republican; American Naval Ship Maine sent to monitor alleged mistreatment of the civilians of Cuba and protect American economic interests. The ship was destroyed and the press (the real instigators of the war)of the time placed the now doubtful blame on the Spanish. US fought the war to free Cuba. McKinley announced that giving the Filipinos Independence outright would be like simply handing them over the Germans or Japanese(because of the geographic position) and harm American economic Interests.

Haiti; Vera Cruz occupation, Pancho Villa, World War I: Woodrow Wilson, Democratic; Troops were sent in to stabilize Haiti, Vera Cruz was occupied to prevent ships from Germany delivering guns to the government. Pancho Villa made several attacks on Americans(because he was not recognized as President of Mexico) forcing Wilson to send troops to capture Villa. WWI involvement was the result of Germany violating Neutrality rights.

Nicaragua: Calvin Coolidge, Republican; Like Haiti the objective was stabilization.

World War II: Franklin D. Roosevelt, Democratic; Asked for declaration of war after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Germany and Italy declared war two days later.

Korean war (1950-54): Harry S. Truman, Democrat; North Korea, in violation of a UN treaty, invaded South Korea. Troops were sent to contain communism.

Vietnam War: Lyndon B. Johnson, Democratic; involvement started after two American gunboats were attacked in the Gulf of Tonkin(the reports have now been proven falsified.).

Grenada: Ronald Reagan, Republican; When a Communist government took over the country, it persecuted the American college students studying there.

Panama, Persian Gulf War Operation Restoring Freedom: George HW Bush, Republican; Noriega, leader of Panama was charged with drug traffickingand through Noriega's power, Panama would declare war(Though retaining the Canal is alleged to be the real motive). Persian Gulf War was fought to Liberate Kuwait from Iraq and protect Saudi Arabia from an Invasion(also to protect oil interests). Troops were sent to Somalia to assist in the feeding the hungry after guerrillas shot up UN aid convoys.

Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq: Bill Clinton, Democratic Party; troops were sent to Bosnia to enforce peacekeeping. Yugoslavia was attacked over genocide upon the ethnic Albanians
in Kosovo. Air assaults were done upon Iraq after it failed to comply with UN weapons inspectors.

Afghanistan and Iraq: George W. Bush, Republican; Invasion of Afghanistan was the result of the Taliban ruled government's refusal to hand over Osama bin Laden. Iraq's invasion is still under debate.

He was GREAT last night! So different from Bush, never said a word about the great SEAL raid that had just concluded, No "mission accomplished" or chest pounding, just the FACTS he went there to present. It's too bad so many listen to that "misinformation network" and take it as "gospel"... they'd realize what a great President he is and how much better he could be ...if he could just get a little cooperation from those who have dedicated themselves to making him fail! I'm glad HE is dedicated to the problems of America and ignores (for the most part), the hatred of the right!

That was when HE did the most work to get Americans "affordable" healthcare (which has only started), was when HE kept the Repubs from throwing out medicare altogether (and SS), was when he recovered many of our friends overseas that Bush had driven away, when HE....oh, wtf, I could go on but the only ones listening are the ones who haven't been "Shadowed" by "FOX facts". In carrying out his responsibilities by ending recession, creating jobs, winning wars, ending the socialization of our corporations and killing our enemies, he deserves the respect and gratitude of DECENT AMERICANS. Here we go, the race card. Didn't take too long. You libtards are really good at that. Obama is the worse POTUS ever pushing Carter for the top spot.

By the way, how come Obama didn't show up for his elligebility hearing in Georgia? Here is a little update for you on the Court proceedings. Quite interesting.

Court was in session at 9 am sharp; proceedings began with the judge meeting privately with all attorneys associated with the case (you know, at least those who showed up) for more than twenty minutes. According to various sources, he told them that since Obama was not present that he would be issuing a default judgment in their favor; he also initially wanted to end the case right then and there. However, the attorneys insisted on holding speedy hearings in which witnesses could testify and evidence would be entered into the court’s records. The judge honored their request.

Much of the evidence presented in court today was obtained with the help of several Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Among evidence entered into the court’s records: Obama’s digital “birth certificate” placed on the whitehouse.gov website, his father’s place of birth (Kenya), a few pages from Obama’s memoir “Dreams From My Father” in which he mentions that his father’s passport had been revok...

Among evidence entered into the court’s records: Obama’s digital “birth certificate” placed on the whitehouse.gov website, his father’s place of birth (Kenya), a few pages from Obama’s memoir “Dreams From My Father” in which he mentions that his father’s passport had been revoked (and subsequently could not leave Kenya”, and Immigration Services documents about Obama Sr.

Van Irion, one of the attorneys went into more detail about the Natural Born Citizen clause of the Constitution, citing the decision reached in the 1875 US Supreme Court Minor vs. Happersett. Using visual aids and copies of the Court’s decision, Mr. Irion distinguishes the term “citizen” from “natural born citizen.” It is explained that the 14th Amendment does not change the meaning of a natural born citizen, and that any and all lower court verdicts do not conflict with that specific Supreme Court ruling.

What one should take away from this specific testimony, if not the proceedings in general, is that a natural born citizen has two parents who also citizens of the United States at the time of said citizen’s birth. As Obama Sr. was clearly NOT an American citizen, the case can clearly be made that our president, constitutionally speaking, is not eligible to serve as our president.

Among those who testified was a former law enforcement officer, a state-licensed PI, and an IT/PhotoShop expert. They have concluded that Obama has likely engaged in social security fraud, that his father is NOT an American citizen, and that the official birth certificate released by the Obama Administration in April is fake, beyond a reasonable doubt.

All evidence and testimony has been officially entered into court records. This leaves the door open for similar cases pending or future cases to be brought in other states as well. Also, any appeal (if one is even possible in this case) would have to be based on evidence presented by the lawyers in each case. Plaintiff Carl Swenson said in an e-mail to supporters that both “Van Irion (another plaintiff) and my lawyer Mark Hatfield made certain that our cases and evidence in these two cases would be closed so as not to be affiliated, in any way, with ‘Birther’ Orly Taitz.”

What everyone is awaiting now from the judge is an official publishing of today’s ruling, again a default judgment for the plaintiffs. Swenson says “we won” and that it is now “time for the rest of the States to take my lead and duplicate this effort.”

One question every American should be asking themselves now that these eligbility proceedings in Georgia are over is simply: “who the hell is this guy?”

Although obvious, it is important to note that not even the slightest mention of these proceedings will be heard in the mainstream liberal media. And this is for good reason; they obviously want to protect their guy Obama. When his administration’s lackeys vocally attacked Fox News in 2009, viewership of Fox News did not go down; it skyrocketed. Likewise, if the media tries to attack Orly Taitz, these witnesses, or anyone else associated with these proceedings, the so-called “birther” movement will only get stronger.

The Fuehrer was Adolf Hitler, the master right-wing fascist of all times. If he was alive today, he would look at America and smile upon our capital gains and dvidend tax rate being the same as the second lowest earned income tax rate (15%), institutionalizing privelege and the wealth of America's richest class. If the Fuehrer was alive today he would smile upon Arizona SB 1070, Georia HB 87 and Alabama HB 56, requiring policemen to challenge citizens for "papers" based upon racial profiling.

Care to discuss George Bush's "methods" which we should credit for the death of Osama bin Laden?

  • auxarc Angus 2012/01/29 21:10:45
    auxarc
    Angus,
Webster's definition of "down fall"? I think it's more like,

GDP shrinking -6.4%, not growing by +2.8%.

Jobs being lost at the rate of -741,000/month, not being gained at the reate of +200,000/month.

The U.S. Treasury buying majoirty control of 19 banks, 2 automakers and 1 insurance company, not the U.S. Treasury losing control of 19 banks and 1 automaker.

Al Qaeda killing 3,000 Americans on U.S. soil, not the U.S. killing al Qaeda leaders in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen.

As an aging and conservative man, I kind of agree with the above definitions of The American Down Fall. I think "old Webster" has it a little more correct than "old Angus". . .

Angus, under that cowboy hat of yours, what are YOUR values and how do YOU measure success?

    Angus,
The $1.6 trillion debt generated for 2009 was George W. Bush's budget. Subtract $1.6 trillion from your $5 trillion figure. And also comment on who you voted for in 2000 while we were in the midst of creating our fourth and last budget surplus , while Al Gore was proposing we put a "lockbox" on Social Security, and George W. Bush was proposing "tax cuts". A cool $6 trillion of new debt (as well as a housing crisis, a Credit Crunch and a Great Recession) was then generated before Obama's first budget for 2010. . .

As Obama took the deficit down from $1.6 trillion (2009) to $1.26 trillion (2010) in his first budget for his "non-voters", he turned GDP growth from -6.4% in Jan/Feb/March 2009 to +5.9% in Oct/Nov/Dec 2009, and job losses of -741,000/month in January 2009 to +64,000/month by November 2009 for his "non-voters". Obama accomplished this, by the way, while John Boehner and Mitch McConnell fought "tooth and nail" to extend Bush's 2001 tax cuts for the 1%
    . . .
You have whimpered into your hole over your suggestion that it was Bush's "meithods" (rather than Barack Obama's change in strategy from fighting "The War of Choice" to fighting "The War of Necessity") that led to Osama bin Laden's death. Do you also want to now whimper into your hole over the state of the economy and who did what?

    15. That Hank Paulson went to the Federal Reserve for loans to buy up AIG in August 2008?

    16. That Hank Paulson brokered Bank of America to buy up Merrill Lynch in September 2008, at the same time he turned his back on Lehman Brothers, allowing it to fail (starting the process of picking "winners and losers")?

    19. That Bush appointed TARP Tsar, Neel Kashkari, started using the $700 billion slushfund on October 11, 2008, NOT to buy "troubled assets", but to buy stock from 19 banks?

    20. That TARP Tsar Neel Kashkari used $13.4 billion from TARP to lend to GM and Chrysler on December 20, 2008? You're dancing around the issue. GWB was a sitting duck starting 2006. Total power was in the hand of the Democrats. Must piss you off..............

    Angus,

I hit substantive issues head on little boy. . .

George W. Bush was a "sitting duck" with the "Contract With America Congress" from January 21, 2001 through January 6, 2007. That is the time when our budget surpluses went away, when a real estate bubble inflated and when a real estate bubble burst (July 2006). Yes, that DOES piss me off. . .

Democrats turned the economy around in 2009. Now go to your corner, little boy. . .

You intellectual ability has not surpassed infant stage. That you have proven. It becomes obvious that your head is so far up Obama's ass that it has totally taken away any ability for you to see and comprehend reality. Too much Kool Aid and Obama BS. Certainly explains a lot. I suggest you seek immediate treatment while it is still covered!!!!!!!!!!
