I think a National Voter ID Program would make a huge dent in Voter Fraud that seemed so rampant in the 2008 Presidential Election.

    You show your driver's license or similar ID for most other civic transactions- Jury duty, getting insurance (any type), volunteering at your kid's school, etc. Flashing your ID before voting would cut way down on voter fraud. Heck, most people who supported Clinton back in the '90s wanted a national ID for health care purposes. Why do those same people (including many posters here) oppose ID now?

    This has never before in the history of America been more important that it is today. It may be too late though, if the anti american, illegal alien, and dead persons vote is allowed to be counted again this next election, the country is just years away from the abyss of history.

    Yep, that's exactly what I also believe The Truth. If this would have been a republican presidency then I'd be willing to bet that the democrats would be screaming bloody murder to get voter I.D's for everyone. I firmly believe that Obama will stop at nothing to stay in office.

    Its a great idea. As long as the process isn't bogged down and made to be a nightmare (poll tax), like anything the Fed gets involved in.

    The constitution is pretty clear on these things though. Its the state's job. FL you have to have a state issued id that can be scanned.

    I can't get a passport or driver's license or cash a check without an ID...... go figure the most important responsibility of voting shouldn't require an ID?
