Rave this if you think we should be talking about the Economy or High School antics?

Washington Post felt the need to research Romney's High School records with 5 special investigative reporters. Yet even with Obama's self admission in Dreams of my Father, to having done lots of drugs and drank heavily during the last two years of high school, Washington Post failed to mention Obama's discretion, ever.

Don't you think with just less than 7 months to the election we start talking about the real issues?

    The story is complete hearsay even the parents of the alleged victim know nothing of this incident. Here's a novel thought WA POO why don't you research how Obama paid for his Ivy League education with lack luster grades and excessive drug use in High School?

    Huge difference between determining whether somebody legally has the right to be president and trying to find out whether a teenager acted up in high school.

    There was no need to "determine" anything. Obama had always been considered a natural born American. It wasn't until bias journalism unleashed the birther nonsense where people started to question him. It was made worse when birthers were proven wrong... on numerous occasions.

    It was unfair, there was no reason for it to even be brought up. Just as bringing up Mitt Romney's high school years is unfair.

    You're wrong on the first part. There are alot of people that still don't believe Obama's a natural born American and they won't as long as the only thing he'll produce is a digitized birth certificate.

    I think it's the medias job to inform and report and part of that would necessarily involve research. If it were not for the media and their research, reporting and exposing then the public would be completely uninformed and corruption would be rampant and unchecked. Sensational stories sell papers - it's not all that biased. Obama's was an admission - no story there. They are looking to expose secrets. I am interested to know if a candidate has exhibitied a mean streak or bullying tendencies..i think thats important. If someone admits they drank to excess and hurt themselves in doing that as a teen - I wouldn't be as interested as if someone was caught drunk driving and endangering others.. to me..there is a difference..just my opinion

    I simply said that I appreciate the investigative reporting of the media. I think it is great to be informed. Also, I am interested in whether a candidate was a bully. To me, personally, that matters. To you, since you seem to have a proclivity towards bullying, it may not. To each their own. The only one making assumptions is you. I chose the name meme..because I think chosing screen names is lame - there is nothing at all meaningful or sinister in why or how I chose my name. You have read wayyy too much into it.....rather than to say my name..I said 'me' twice...lol...what are you even talking about? And what is your point?     Media can obviously be biased - But, I think, all biases are represented by some outlet and I truly believe if there were some scandalous nugget of anything someone would have ran with the story. In 2008 there must not have been any story to tell or it would have been told. I am glad the media is there to investigate and I am glad that stories of corruption sell..it motivates the media. If it weren't for that we would be hearing only what candidates 'want' us to hear. Again, just my opinion.

    Like I said, every bias is represented by some media outlet - which is why I don't believe any scandalous story about Obama was missed in 2008. Surely, your 'responsible independent websites' (which are members of the media, by the way) would have reported on any dirt they found on Obama. Period. End of story. Or do the sources you use fail to do independent research? I am done wasting time with you.     The reason left wing media personalities are overly concerned about high school events in 1965 is that they have high school mentalities and have never moved on.
