Of course they are hypocritical but they are also amusing. I love their logic. When this has been brought up before, they become haughty and indignant and respond with comments such as.... " Everyone knows Mitt was born in Utah! " See there ... " everyone knows! That settles it ! Or they will say he revealed all of that back when he ran for the Senate. No... he did not.

In '08, Candidate McCain went after Mitt and his hidden taxes. During the primaries, Rick Perry did the same. Even sleazy old Newt questioned Willard's character. They all know what a venture capitalist and snake oil salesman Mitt is. It's getting pretty bad when Newt pinches his nose when Mitt walks by.

I never trust anyone running for POTUS that has more $$$ stashed in overseas shelter accounts than they do in their American business investments.

I believe they already have them. Some more financial information may be needed, but everybody knows Mitt's story. We grew up buying Nash Ramblers made by his father's company before his father was "brainwashed" by the Generals in Viet Nam.

Birth certificate? Well... But Romney's tax returns, college transcripts and offshore bank accounts? Of course. Make him prove where his loyalty lies. Now as far as President Obama's birth certificate is concerned; I'm amazed at how many people insist he wasn't born here. If he wasn't born here then explain how did his foreign countries government, collaborate with the State of Hawaii to falsify his birth certificate. If he and whoever did it, it must have been done before. Birthers, explain how can one get a foreign and a local government to falsify a birth certificate and keep it falsified, Also, his mother's passport would show that she was outside of the country before he was born and where she was. A simple investigation can find this out. Also, Obama's passport would show this as well..

What's a "Tea Party Member"? I had no idea they were handing out membership cards. What are the benefits of this membership? Is there a list somewhere? Last party I went to didn't even have beer (a little bit of a let down really).

I think that both Romney and Obama are space aliens on a mission of conquest.

I think history will judge them as such. Twenty or so years from now, a new generation of civic students will be reading about the Tea Party and the Birthers with the same disbelief that we felt when reading about Sen. Joe McCarthy's commie witch hunts and Gov. George Wallace standing in the school house door screaming "segregation now, segregation forever!".

Conservatives have ALWAYS been on the wrong side of progress, probably always will. gop

I just want to see his foreign bank amounts. It's MY bet that, truth be known, his actual American tax rate is about 3% rather than 15%, because he has invested a huge sum in foreign countries banks instead of American banks wher he would, (if he was a real American), pay his fair share like the rest of us!

Hey Chi-A-Pet; that stale old line you keep posting isn't working because most Americans aren't paying attention to you dumb ranting about Romney's money. The only ones crying and whining are the envious jealous liberals.
Here's the latest Gallup poll readit and weep.

An overwhelming majority of voters – 75 percent – say that Mitt Romney’s $200 million net worth makes no difference in their choice between him and President Barack Obama, according to a new Gallup poll.

Meanwhile, 20 percent of voters say Romney’s wealth makes them less likely to vote for him, and 4 percent say it makes them more likely to vote for him.

Breaking it down by party affiliation, among Republicans, 89 percent say Romney’s riches make no difference, 8 percent say they are a reason to vote for him, and 4 percent say they are a reason to vote against him. Among Democrats, 62 percent don’t care about Romney’s wealth, 37 percent say it’s a negative factor, and 1 percent say it’s positive.

The sentiment of independents may be most important, as they are likely to decide the election’s outcome. In this demographic 76 are indifferent to Romney’s wealth, 19 percent say it makes them less likely to vote for him, and 4 percent say it makes them more likely to vote for him.

Among income categories, the most indifferent toward Romney’s wealth (80 percent) are those earning between $24,000 and $60,000 a year. The most inclined to vote against Romney because of his wealth (28 percent) are those making less than $24,000. And the most likely to vote for Romney because of his wealth (8 percent) are those making between $60,000 and $90,000.

While the Obama campaign seeks to portray Romney as a tool of the rich, “most Americans claim Romney's wealth will not affect their vote, perhaps reflecting Gallup research showing that the majority of Americans believe the U.S. benefits from having a rich class and would themselves like to be rich,” writes Gallup’s Frank Newport.

Debbie is not running for President. I have nothing to say about people having Swiss Accounts unless they are claiming to pay their "fair amount of tax while usnig every loophole, Legal AND illegal, to keep from paying back to America a fair share of what America has given them!

If you know so much about her account, she must be putting it out there for all to see and therefor paying what she should!

    Hey no-cents! since your too lazy to check on old Debbie Schultz this comes from the business news;

DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz may enjoy attacking Mitt Romney for his use of Swiss bank accounts, but new information suggests she invested in the same institutions some years ago.

Information gathered from Wasserman-Schultz’s congressional disclosure forms show a wide-ranging history of investment ventures, with focuses on Swiss banking firms, foreign pharmaceutical companies, and India’s national bank.

As early as two years ago, she held a 401k with concentrations in European companies and financial institutions.

The revelation comes after weeks of heightened attacks on Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, which Wasserman-Schultz has spearheaded as head of the Democratic Party.

Speaking to the press about Romney last Sunday, she posed the question:

"Americans need to ask themselves, why does an American businessman need a Swiss bank account and secretive investments like that?"

Wasserman-Schultz has yet to comment on the apparent hypocrisy of her behavior, and the White House is following suit thus far.

It is also verified by congressional disclosure forms. How's that for change?
  • ALofRI DUGGINS 2012/07/17 16:46:26

I have a 401k with ties to some European companies, my financial adviser puts my money where he thinks it is safest, or will make the most. Anyone can put money in a Swiss Bank account as long as it is divulged to the IRS...so what? Debbi WS is not running for anything that warrants showing her personal finances, they're non of our business! It's between her and the IRS!

On the other hand, it looks more and more like the person who wants to run the country isn't playing fair WITH the country! Inquiring minds (in this case) have a right to know!

Asking for an explanation isn't obtuse when your statements are clear only to you.

Because you have failed to understand the analogy I will explain.

The man in the ski-mask is Obama, because he is the one who looks guilty in this situation. Obama is the one who has actively hidden his past. He has refused to release his school records, adoption records, name-change documents, medical records, records of his and his mother’s repatriation as US citizens, and state Bar records.
If we had been asking Romeny for this information for the past 4 years, and Romeny had refused, he would also look guilty. But, that is simply not the case.
