The “reporter” who heckled Obama during his statement displayed a complete lack of respect for the office of President of the United States, the country he lives in, and probably himself. He is not a reporter at all, but was sent by Tucker Carlson to do exactly as he did, disrupt a presidential announcement. He is now on a par with Joe Wilson and Bill O'Reilly.

This kind of murmuring is not unusual. It is a far cry from someone calling out "you lie" during a speech by a president. See if you can Google and YouTube something like that.

The President was there to deliver a statement about a new policy. It was not a press conference, and he was not there to take questions. The only reason this heckler was there was to try to distract from the historic progress that the President's statement represents. President Obama is not a dictator, nor is he a communist, and the only people currently trying to take over the United States government are the Koch Brothers and their ilk. They demonstrated in Wisconsin that they're capable of buying elections, but they also know that the list of President Obama's successful accomplishments is so long that money alone won't do it.

No one has been granted amnesty. The President is the head of the Department of Justice, and has complete authority to determine priorities and make decisions regarding prosecutorial discretion. No one that is covered by this action is an inch closer to citizenship as a result of it.

But, since you asked, Article 2, Section 2 of the Constitution grants the President the right to grant "reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States."

In other words, if the President says "don't prosecute this person", then that person doesn't get prosecuted.

The federal government is the only entity authorized to regulate immigration, according to the Constitution. The president is the head of the federal government and the head of state, so he is doubly authorized.

He can pardon anyone who is or will be charged with a crime, and the only limitations are in case of impeachments.

Article 2, Section 2:

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

I don't. I think all the illegals that came over here as adults should be sent back. I happen to know a few who were brought here as babies. Some of them weren't allowed to speak Spanish so they wouldn't have an accent. They know nothing of Mexico and love this country. I have modified my opinion to not include them. 800,000 are a drop in the 330,000,000+ population bucket. Illegal immigration has dropped 75% due to the economy. If you want to blame someone for the jobs being outsourced, blame Romney and his cronies.

I agree about tougher laws, maybe even a no-mans zone at the border. I have even advocated gun-tower and live ammo. But, the kids that are already here are different and, like I said, 800,000 is a small drop in the population bucket. Besides, they all won't meet the criteria. These kids won't be in the job market yet, either.

The rule can be made for only the ones here now, not any in the future. I think alligators in the Rio Grande might help, too. If nothing else it would help stop most of the drugs coming through. I think our border is a lot longer than N/SK's is.
