And if wages went up you probably couldn't increase your prices, so your argument about that is false.

yep, as my state has increased minimum wages and tax's, as well as L&I rates, it has forced me to lay off employees and not hire, i live in a very Leftwing Union State

No,, sorry my arguement is completely valid, if you had even a basic Marketing class you would know that

Your in import/export. A strong dollar is good for you, it is bad for everyone else.

I was in Import /Export, we became Import only after failing to find a US company to manufature at a competitive price for a small wet/dry shop vac we had the patent for, we were forced to use Tiawan, and thats how we learned about the different tax brackets and why the USA is now a very Business Unfriendly Country, and its becuase of greedy Progressive/Liberal/Union Tax and Regulation. Its not that the other countries just dropped the cost of doing business there, its that we rapidly escalated the cost of Labor and Tax here and left them in the dust cost wise, and that is all Union Driven

As I'm sure you know our income taxes are about as low as they've been since the income tax was enacted. FICA is high and should have the cap removed. I find arguing about 3 percentage points on the top bracket somewhat foolish. As I said before, I understand that small incorporate business is over taxed, because they often do pay the 35%. I disagree that large corporations are over taxed because they know how to hid income and and use loopholes. Let's close the loopholes tighten up accounting requirements and drop the rate to 25%. You'll probably be better off, the government will get more revenue and GE will complain. Let's cut the oil company subsidies -- find me a large oil company that needs them and put that money into education. Let's get socialized medicine and end having business pay insurance for injured workers. Expand government disability insurance and end workmen's comp insurance totally. See a little socialism could help you.

yeeee-ah if you believe my imcome tax is as loww as since the the Income Tax was created i have a bridge in Brooklin I'll sell you for $100 bucks! ~Lmao!~

Hint: there is no such thing as Tax cuts, there is only Tax and Over Tax after that you have basically Marxist terms and invented 'Classwarfare' crappolla, there are no so-callled Tax Loopholes, there are only OVERTAXATION of us all! any other arguement is communistic or socialialistic at best, ~laughs~ try again?

Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic . Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper, Prager Zeitungon.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their President.”

Right, but based on the 2010 midterms and 38% of union house holds voting for Scott Walker last week, shows alot of these fools have already wised up.

There are always a few that don't want to work. But, cutting pay demoralizes and angers people which gets you a lot of bitching and a feeling that they will only do as much work as your paying them for. Remember they don't believe you've cut your profits. That's just the way it is.

Why don't you try some profit sharing it might help. Also respect people it makes them work harder.

nope , you have it completely wrong, you are simply following Union Lip Service,

I am in construction now, and one of the best in my trade, I make this promise to anyone I hire to teach the trade

I will within 6 weeks show you how to make at least 1K a week piecemeal

I start everyone out the same, minimum or Piecemeal, whatever is greater, and without fail, 19 out of 20 will dilly dally around and collect only minimum wage and bitch and complaign how hard it is all day long, even though I am right there dememstrating how to make 1700 a week, I say the same thing over and over, mimic me, and you will mimic my paycheck, it doesn't matter, most, like you, wanna tell me how to run the company, how to motivate them with higher wage, and then, just maybe, they would work harder ~laughs~ and if I did that, I too would be at minimum wage and bitching all the time too, just like you guys!

Truth is, if your worth a sheeet at what you do, people will pay you accordingly, if you are a slacker and lazy, join the Union

Who said this quote? I agree with him or her to a point.
The fact that almost half of the voters did not vote for Obama and the hundred million who did not vote at all leaves me comforted that most Americans are not "depraved".
I think there are millions of Obama 2008 voters who will not be fooled again.

    June 10, 2012
The Philadelphia Convention Center is in a big slump, increasing cancellations of groups (despite huge cancellation fees) have brought into question the $786 million expansion led by the Building and Construction unions and paid for with a tax increase.

"Meeting planners have long complained that union labor practices in Philadelphia drive up operating costs, which are passed along to the groups and shows that come here."

"So far, group business for 2014 was 64,405 room nights behind target; 2015 was 131,000 room nights behind target; and 2016 was 135,760 room nights behind target, according to the hotel association.
"We are not even matching pre-expansion performance," the letter states. "The most frequently cited reason is the high cost of doing business at the center."

The final paragraph of the article is the most damning and alarming statement regarding the labor union's selfishness, even self destruction.

""The loss of room nights not only results in fewer hospitality jobs for Philadelphians," he said. "It also hurts ancillary businesses that benefit from conventions, such as restaurants and retail shops. There are also less construction jobs because fewer hotels will be needed and, of course, less work at the Convention Center."
