Some of us care about justice for Brian. The CYA circus by Obama and Holder is disgusting.

Deliberative privilege is not a legal absolute. The executive branch concedes that when another branch of government demands privileged documents within the executive's control, they sometimes have to be turned over.
They have to be turned over when the demanding branch can articulate a compelling need for the information to fulfill one of its own constitutional functions -- a need that outweighs the executive branch's interest in confidentiality.
A key problem now for the House Oversight Committee is thus far it has yet to state in a very concrete way why it needs the particular documents it is demanding.
In contrast, the executive branch has articulated a strong and highly specific reason for withholding the documents at issue: Forced disclosure to Congress of internal deliberations concerning how best to interact with Congress would undermine the executive's capacity to function as a co-equal branch. It would undermine the prospects for future candid deliberations about interactions with the other institutions of government.

In the past, the DOJ has justified not turning over the wiretap applications to Issa by saying that doing so could jeopardize the current criminal cases it is prosecuting.
Two former prosecutors for the DOJ, who were not familiar with the details of this article, independently told The Hill that defense lawyers could use an instance of documents being leaked in violation of a court-ordered seal to justify seeking a mistrial.
It is unlikely that the DOJ, if it does investigate the leak, will have grounds to go after Issa for accepting the documents. In past instances of court-ordered seals being broken, it is the actual breaker of the seal who is held responsible, which in this case could mean criminal contempt proceedings and possible jail time.
Do not you think that it is about time that the truth was disclosed. in simple English, who the top echelon were who authorized "Fast & Furious.?" I, as well as most Americans, and especially the parents of Brian Terry, deserve answers without the stonewalling and the legalese.
Obama never should have declared executive privilege. Personally, I do not believe that he was personally responsible for the operation ... and it may be doubtful that Holder was either; and even if Holder knew about it, how was he to know how screwed up an operation it might become.... and this is coming from someone who is by far no fan of Holder or Obama. By declaring executive privilege in this matter suggests a cover-up in which both Holder and Obama are involved...and it was not necessary. The whole thing was a monumental mistake resulting out of noble intent... just own up to it.
Am I wrong?
There appears to be more involved, and I am not sure that Issa is just looking for who is accountable.
Good Speed!
There's the rub.
Quite simply, there's a fundamental misconception at the heart of the Fast and Furious scandal. Nobody disputes that suspected straw purchasers under surveillance by the ATF repeatedly bought guns that eventually fell into criminal hands. Issa and others charge that the ATF intentionally allowed guns to walk as an operational tactic. But five law-enforcement agents directly involved in Fast and Furious tell Fortune that the ATF had no such tactic. They insist they never purposefully allowed guns to be illegally trafficked. Just the opposite: They say they seized weapons whenever they could but were hamstrung by prosecutors and weak laws, which stymied them at every turn.
Indeed, a six-month Fortune investigation reveals that the public case alleging that Voth and his colleagues walked guns is replete with distortions, errors, partial truths, and even some outright lies. Fortune reviewed more than 2,000 pages of confidential ATF documents and interviewed 39 people, including seven law-enforcement agents with direct knowledge of the case. Several, including Voth, are speaking out for the first time.
Good Speed.
It always makes me chuckle when people shout out for the "impeachment" of a president. Most all of them do not even know what the word means.

Hyperbolic much? The most corrupt ever? Name one thing one person in this administration has ever been charged with, much less convicted of. Links please!
brain meltdown
its all about a "twofer".
two black guys, for one scandal.
from where I sit, it could not be clearer.
why don't you INVEST in America?
afraid it will make the black man look good?
The wealthy never buy lottery tickets, if that is what you mean... and my money is invested in America, where it has taken quite a hit, but I do not blame Obama for that hit. The economy is improving in spite of his policies.
they are selfish bastards with more money than brains.
i know what they SHOULD be doing with it.
but then we come up against the "brains" thing.
...and secondly, it takes brains to make money...and it takes brains to invest it with companies that provide jobs in order to receive a substantial return on that money.
So why are investors and entrepreneurs and banks not investing that money, which in normal times would be invested?
The answer is quite clear. That is why you should have bought better tickets for a better seat.
they have manipulated the meritocracy system so they can stay on top of it... that may be clever, but its not smart.
