The Congressional Black Caucus is an organization representing the black members of the United States Congress. Membership is exclusive to blacks,
wikipedia
"EXCLUSIVE TO BLACKS". It doesn't get any more racist than that does it?
(BTW I don't condone calling people blacks and whites because it is racist and I would appreciate if you would join me in fighting, not people with light or dark skin but, racist people who want to segregate us into races, like the Congressional Black Caucus.and the KKK.

+38Imagine what the media would do if they had a congressional white caucus or an NAAWP? Or a White TV channel?

*snicker*
but comparing the black caucus to the kkk is, to quote newt and daffy (redundant?), despicable.
"Wikipedia is not a viable source of accurate information."
At BEST - it is a starting point - since you can post almost ANYTHING on it and call it reality.
Feel free to be offended,.. Believe me I am on this subject:
ALL of the BLACK Organizations in this country - ALL OF THEM - were created in response of AMERICAN SOCIETY refusing access to blacks in those areas.
You remove the CAUSE,.. then you can complain about them still existing.
I laugh at a WHITE PERSON complaining about the the United Negro College Fund,.. It was created when WHITE colleges wouldn't accept blacks EVEN WITH MONEY onto their campuses and NOW THEY ACCEPT EVERY AND ANYONE of ANY COLOR INCLUDING WHITE who are low to middle income.
I also SNEER at whites who think they can "decide" when the playing field is level enough to disband such ORGS like UNCF - who call such things "Racist".
They need to crack a book.
Are you saying the Black Caucus has no white members?
Did you LOOK at their membership?
(Obviously not)
"White membership
Over the years, the question has arisen, "Does the caucus allow only black members?" Pete Stark, D-CA., who is white, tried and failed to join in 1975. In January 2007, Josephine Hearn reported in Politico that white members of Congress were not welcome to join the CBC.[8] Freshman Representative Steve Cohen, D-TN., who is white, pledged to apply for membership during his election campaign to represent his constituency, which is 60% African American. Hearn further reported that although the bylaws of the caucus do not make race a prerequisite for membership, former and current members of the caucus agreed that the group should remain "exclusively black." Rep. William Lacy Clay, Jr., D-MO., the son of Rep. William Lacy Clay Sr., D-MO., a co-founder of the caucus, is quoted as saying, "Mr. Cohen asked for admission, and he got his answer. He's white and the caucus is black. It's time to move on. We have racial policies to pursue and we are pursuing them, as Mr. Cohen has learned. It's an unwritten rule. It's understood." In response to the decision, Rep. Cohen stated, "It's their caucus and they do things their way. You don't force your way in." Clay issued an official statement from his office:
Quite simply, Rep. Cohen...

Quite simply, Rep. Cohen will have to accept what the rest of the country will have to accept—there has been an unofficial Congressional White Caucus for over 200 years, and now it's our turn to say who can join 'the club.' He does not, and cannot, meet the membership criteria, unless he can change his skin color. Primarily, we are concerned with the needs and concerns of the black population, and we will not allow white America to infringe on those objectives.
On January 25, 2007, Representative Tom Tancredo, R-CO., spoke out against the continued existence of the CBC as well as the Democratic Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Republican Congressional Hispanic Conference saying, "It is utterly hypocritical for Congress to extol the virtues of a color-blind society while officially sanctioning caucuses that are based solely on race. If we are serious about achieving the goal of a colorblind society, Congress should lead by example and end these divisive, race-based caucuses."[9]"

Creating an organization to protect or support the excluded has never been Racism. Before you can complain about any black organization as racist, you would be better served to address the literely hundreds of "white only" orgs that you choose to ignore.
We are on the SAME MEDIA - yet you are willing to argue and require SOMEONE ELSE bring your data up for you.
Just go to their website and check the membership. Look at the Bio's and the Pictures. Understand that the group probably won't accept whites with ties to known racist orgs or who's politics go counter to why they were formed in 1971. But they have accepted whites.
Sorry,.. for me to point out ANY commitee composed of whites only - that have Never had blacks in them would be wrong because I would be doing the same thing you are - and not giving them a chance or seeing what they are about.
Besides,.. if you simply excluded a group,.. why would you have to post a "white only" sign - you just do it. This has been the practice in American politics for decades.
REALLY?!?!?!?!?!? How about if it were the "Congressional WHITE Caucus"! Why are there so many organizations for "blacks only", but if they were "white only" it would be racist?
