Rave this if you think Republicans Are Outsourcing Jobs!

ServantOfAllah 2012/05/16 01:19:59
You know they are.

America comes second or third to these crustaceans. If you doubt me, read their answers, and they will tell you themselves. They think renouncing your US citizenship to skip out on taxes is fine, they blame others for "making" them send jobs overseas to foreign workers because it's cheaper to buy in a third world country. They support basically anything "me" oriented.

Rave this if you can see through their BS.
You!

"Free trade" agreements are definitely on the Republican agenda, but it was Bill Clinton and Barack Obama who signed them.

Corporations have 2 trillion sitting on balance sheets waiting to be invested. The GOP said that profits made overseas are tax free if invested back in the US. Only a fool thinks the new plant GE opened in China would not have their profit amount bought in T-bills to pay no tax on it. S&P; corporations get half their income from overseas. Making their profit have no tax would make investing in overseas operations more profitable than here in the USA. The GOP wants to outsource your job by setting tax policy that enables it.

Uhhhh ... GE .... Immelt ... obie's jobs boy. The tax policy that keeps that money overseas is the crat tax policy of tax the hell out of it if it comes back. If the tax level was reasonable it would come back and get to work like th GOP wants to do. Sometimes I wonder what the hell you clowns are smoking or how much you are paid to spread out and out lies ... but ithat does point out just how frigging stupid crat voters are.

    yes.

no. they aren't. they'd have to pay a 35% haircut to repatriate those profits. that's a powerful disincentive to bring it home versus keeping it overseas.

i have no idea what that that profit and T bills means.

profit is profit. if they leave it overseas, it does our tax coffers no good and doesn't promote economic activity here.

a big non-stimulus boost to our balance of payments, and tax coffers would be if we lowered that 35% rate to the lowest repatriation rate 11%. we'd capture something like $100-200B in taxes that we'd never see AND add somewhere north of $1 to 2 Trillion in economic activity that would not increase our deficit spending.

should we collect $0 at 35% or collect $100b-200B at 12%

ummm... Immelt is Obama's czar of industrial growth in the US. its not the GOP building GE plants overseas. it seems your memes are mixed up.

    OBAMA SENDS TAXPAYER
DOLLARS & JOB OVERSEAS – AGAIN

Reported by Robert P. Heslin, for ElectionDebates.com

At a time when the U.S. economy is failing and millions of Americans are out of work, the Obama administration has given an electric car company, Fisker Automotive, a $529 million federal loan guarantee which has not only NOT led to new American jobs, but instead resulted in a windfall of manufacturing jobs in Finland.

Vice President Joe Biden trumpeted the Fisker loan as something that would lead to thousands of American manufacturing jobs. But two years later, Fisker's manufacturing jobs remain concentrated in just one assembly line in Finland.

•Company founder Henrik Fisker claims there are no manufacturing facilities in the U.S. that can build the pricey Karma sportscar.

•The Fisker loan is part of a $1 billion roll of the dice by the Energy Department on two California-based electric car-makers, both of which make sports cars which are far too expensive for ordinary Americans to buy.

•The Fisker loan is part of a $1 billion roll of the dice by the Energy Department on two California-based electric car-makers, both of which make sports cars which are far too expensive for ordinary Americans to buy.

•Backed by politically-connected venture capitalists with ties to Vice President Al Gore, Fisker Automotive promises it will eventually produce tens of thousands of electric sports sedans at a defunct GM factory it acquired in Delaware. But those plans remain a distant dream – far removed from what President Obama calls "the fierce urgency of now".

•Tesla Motors, another builder of super-expensive cars, has also received lavish loan guarantees from the government. It too has plans for a massive manufacturing operation on American soil which is years from breaking ground.

•Fisker has fallen more than a year behind schedule in producing its $97,000 luxury vehicle. Only 40 of its Karma cars have been manufactured and only two delivered to customers, including one to movie star Leonardo DiCaprio.

•According to its SEC filings, Tesla has lost money every quarter to date.

•Meanwhile, President Obama's Department of Energy continues to pour billions of taxpayer dollars into alternative energy schemes. Despite the complete failure of these schemes to create American jobs or corporate profits, the Obama Administration has publicly said it has no plans to change its energy policies.

    http://www.electiondebates.co...

•Henrik Fisker said he told the Department of Energy of his decision to outsource the assembly of the pricey Karma to Finland. The DoE signed off, he said, on the condition that Fisker not spend the federal loan money in Finland -- a condition Fisker says his company has honored. At this point the taxpayer has no choice but to take his word for it.

•An audit by the (GAO) Government Accountability Office has taken the Energy Department to task for not monitoring its auto loans closely enough -- including those made to Fisker and Tesla.

•According to the GAO, the Department of Energy cannot know for certain that the projects it's funding are on track to deliver the vehicles as agreed. U.S. taxpayers thus have no way of knowing if they're getting what they've paid for.

•Fisker and Tesla are among a handful of companies that have received government loans – more than 95 percent of the companies which have applied for them have either been rejected or are still waiting for government approval.

•Between them, Fisker and Tesla have received almost $1 billion from the DoE.

•Industry observers are openly skeptical as to whether the Department of Energy has the necessary auto industry expertise to make informed investments. The results so far have not been encouraging.

Name a few jobs that Republicans are outsourcing? Obama invested 2 billion of our money in Brazil to give China more oil. Obama outsourced green jobs to China. Obama outsourced infastructure jobs to CHina as a no-bid which he lied and said he would never do!

The president doesn't out source jobs. Corporations do that themselves. The Wall Street Journal reported that Corporate America certainly isn’t doing its part to help bring America out of its economic malaise. The paper surveyed employment data by some of the nation’s largest corporations — General Electric, Caterpillar, Microsoft, Wal-Mart, Chevron, Cisco, Intel, Stanley Works, Merck, United Technologies, and Oracle — and found that they cut their workforces by 2.9 million people over the last decade while hiring 2.4 million people overseas.

As for China doing that bridge work, that city found that China had the right materials and workers immediately ready to go on a very vulnerable structure with a lower bid than any American firm thus saving the city millions of dollars.
