The only POTUS who possibly has done more harm to the country than 0bama is Carter--due to his having done (and still doing) more harm as erstwhile POTUS than as incumbent.

It's not about taxes and regulations; alot of damage has been done maybe so much we can not recover from it; another four years of this will seal the fate of the USA. This marxism has failed everywhere it has been tried; the socialism/redistribution is killing the Euro as we speak; why in the hell would any idiot go in that direction? They are all trying to warn us to change while we still can, don't make the same mistakes they made.

However, in terms of health care and clean energy western europe is kicking out asses. We wouldn't be in this mess if Bush hadn't reversed everything accomplished by the Clinton administration.

WRONG !!!!! The Euro was formed to DIRECTLY compete with the USA; It failed because of the same thing that brought us down, that "affirmative action" mortgage program the Dems came up with. The bad mortgages were packed up into "mortgage backed securities" and sold all over Europe. Many people that have had their homes foreclosed should have demanded the original note be presented; the foreclosure would have been thrown out because nobody really knows where those bad loans ended up. The Euro going bust would be good for the USA. The Euro has been doing the same kind of spending/socialism/redistribu... as Washington is doing; they have spent all the money designated for entitlement programs and no way to pay the recipients now. In DC they have spent all the Social Security money, the Federal employee retirement money; Medicare; Medicaid; that's the problem the Post Office has, all of their retirement money has been spent so they can't sell enough stamps to pay their retirees. We have been robbed; our money is wasted and GONE, we are bankrupted by the politicians who are getting richwer and richer off of our sufferings.

How is this silly? Political cartoons have been around for a long time; humorous maybe but not silly; read the damn messages, this one obviously skewed. If we tax the rich 100% of their earnings over $1 million, it wouldn't cover one week of Obama spending; it's not a solution it's political "divide and conquer"; rhetoric.

It's called common sense. Tax cuts for the 1% make up a far larger portion of the federal deficit than jobless benefits simply because people without jobs are making roughly minimum wage off welfare. The richest individuals, however, are each getting hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars in tax cuts. The wealthiest individuals can afford to drop their tax cuts because they already have more money than they need, including enough to invest in new ideas to make more money. If I made $250k+ per year, I could easily pay 60% in taxes (which is more than they would have to pay without tax cuts) and still live fairly afluently.
I am not suggesting this would eliminate deficit, but this is one of the first areas where money can be saved. Before cutting any programs, get rid of tax cuts.

Not the point at all; the extension of unemployment benefits was approved but for ONCE, one of these programs is paid for; not deficit spending. The democrats have tried sooooo many times to punish the rich and it backfires every time. They came up with a tax on $$ zillion luxury yachts; ended up with the companies that make the yachts going offshore to build their boats; put all of their employees out of work. The government has no business is anyone's bank account rich, middle class, or poor. It's class warfare because Obama and his socialism have failed like it has done all around the world every time it has been tried.

I do not suggest punishing the rich, only asking them to make the same contribution as EVERYONE ELSE. This is saying they don't deserve special treatment. Companies can provide jobs. They can also abuse employees by withholding benefits, withholding promotions, merging positions, increasing hours, and cutting costs on both safety and efficiency equipment. Every company I have worked for has done these things and I have heard of far worse cases. Look at companies like Enron. Look at the banks which were bailed out. Companies will exploit their workers and then walk away with a profit, leaving hard working citizens with no job. Then, when they find a new job not only do they again have limited rights and no ownership over their own time or production, but they must also pay a higher percentage of taxes than their employers. You may see all of this and say "good 'ol capitalism" but I cry foul.

You can't be that naive!!!!!!!!! The Euro is BROKE and falling apart; the countries that did not participate in the socialist Euro are much better off. The top 1% of income earners pay over 70% of the total tax bill; so much so that 49% of Americans get to pay NOTHING; it's class warfare, helter skelter, divide and conquer; the same thing Hilter tried to take the world.

That's only human nature, you can't legislate that. Haven't you ever heard of people winning the lottery or high paid atheletes GOING BROKE; people have what they can manage, no more or no less. We can take ALL of the money from the rich and give it to the poor and most of the poor will be right back where they are. we have taken $$ billions in tax dollars, givne to the poor, to clean up the ghettos, to stop the drop-outs, to stop the violence but WE STILL HAVE IT !! That doesn't instill dignity, it instills avarice and complacency.

You must be terrible at math. 1% OWNS 90% of the wealth and therefore pays 70% of the total tax burden. THEY SHOULD BE PAYING 90% of the tax burden!!! If you want the other 49% paying taxes, you'd have to GIVE THEM MONEY to pay those taxes. You're complaining about an imbalance in the distribution of wealth but you're looking at it backwards. The issue is that 1% of the population has such a high percentage of the money that they much pay the majority of the taxes and almost have the population is so impoverished they can't pay any taxes.

The ones that have plenty of money for Budweiser, lottery tickets, chrome accessories for the car? The ones that have all the fines to pay and parole fees? But they don't have enough money for health care, or to educate themselves for a better job, or educate their family to keep them off the government dole? We don't HELP those people by GIVING them money. The 1% owns 90% of the wealth is liberal/progressive hype. There are people in the USA that make under $20K per year, under the rate of poverty but are rich. There are those making $500,000 per year that are broke and poor. The government can't change that.

If you're making 500,000 a year and you're poor you're as bad, if not worse, than the people who buy beer and lottery tickets but live below the poverty level. Either find a smaller house or stop buying so many gold statues. There are stupid people on all sides, and I dislike them all, but the ones who are filthy rich are the ones doing the most damage to the country.
