I think the Democratic Party was overthrown by socialists in the late 50s to early 60s, when the transitition was made from the party of the working man to the party of the non-workers. What are your thoughts.

    yep. he may have been a quiet commie, but he at LEAST could negotiate with both sides. I couldn't stand him, thought he was a vile, slimebag horn-doggy BUT props to him for at least trying to moderate.

    I agree with you in how he Could Negotiate..
    I Changed Parties to Non-Partisan, when He was Nominated as the Candidate...
    Could Not Stand Him because HE was a Dratf Dodger and Demonstrated against the VN War on Russian Soil when he was a Rhodes Scholar..

    Yes HE was...and The ONLY Dem I have Ever Voted For...was a DEM until Clinton came along....and changed to Non-Partisan...
    Last REP Voted for was Regan...Still a Non-Partisan...but with more Conserv Values than DEM values...
