The European Greens, that seized power in Europe through the 1990's and imposed the cradle to grave safety net that is breaking them now, became very fashionable during the Clinton years with the California elites. They embraced the platform and began running for public office. As the years have gone by the Greens have gained more and more power and spread it to other locales. Notice that California, mostly around San Francisco is the nexus of this rebirth. It expanded to Oregon and Washington creating states that are struggling economically in order to adhere to a restrictive liberal order of governance. New York elites also, seeking to emulate people they consider their "European superiors", seized on the agenda which readily spread to places like Connecticut, Massachusetts and other northeastern states. This includes Washington DC and Virginia which is home to millions of government workers. They know which side their bread is buttered on. So they work to perpetuate the same failing yet expanding model of bureaucratic growth. Ultimately we have the "green" president who used his power to gift millions to donors under the cover of being "shovel ready green startups." This is not LBJ's Democrat Party. It's not JFK's Democrat Party. It's a Green Party which if you will bother to look up is associated with the World Workers' Party which is a front for the Communist Party.

Actually, the welfare state was mostly created after the war by Socialists and Christian Democrats.

If you will look, the Green Party was crucial to many of the socialist measures passed and the creation of the European Union. What's funny is that the EU is actually more restrictive on what farmers can grow and manufacturers can make because some industries are closed to competition.

Libs are libs are libs and will always be libs. Socialism if it benefits their agenda. capitalism if it benefits them. Selfish people posing as people who care for others more than themselves.

If you ever read the Communist Manifesto the majority of the plans written down to destroy the Republic, the Constitution and American way of life are being pushed by the Liberal-Left and the Progressives. The communist now as just like back in the 50's & 60's knew they had to defeat this country from within. Taking over the Media, getting God & Prayer out of the school system starting the indoctrination of the progressive socialist mindset. Talking over the colleges and institutes of higher learning to control the minds of future leaders, etc. The "Blue Dog Democrats" are mostly all gone the ones that have taken their place are based in the Liberal Progressive teaching that the Constitution is old fashion, God is not needed or important in the moral foundations of the country, capitalism is evil, Socialism & Communism aren't that bad and the worst they know what is best for you so when they get control "Freedom" will be replaced with rules telling you what to eat, what to say, what to believe in, in sense you will be where the Communist wanted us 50 years ago.

I think the word socialist is used so much now that it can not be taken seriously.

Democrats are very far from socialist. There is actually very little difference between between the two parties. When Republicans had the presidency and the house they did little to do anything dramatically different. They could have cut taxes dramatically and failed to do so, that's why I do not believe in either party. They both seem to talk a big game but do very little.

Liberals are socialist. They take from your work earnings and give it to people who are too lazy to work. Do you enjoy working hard to support someone perfectly able to work but refuses to?

If the country was entirely Republican, do you really think taxes would not be just as high. Welfare, Social Security, Healthcare, Housing, which one would be less cost to the nation if Republicans had supreme control and why? The only areas I have a huge problem with is illegal immigration and welfare without education, these two I do no like at all. The others can be worked with in there present states. Look people need help, before these social programs a huge amount of people fell through the cracks. You can not call on the poor to help win wars and then say starve and live in the street.

Did you know that famous Generals like Bradley and I think even Eisenhower joined the military to escape poverty. The poor have bared the burden of every war we have ever fought in almost every generation.

You cant get the LAZY to join the military when they get a check from the taxpayer every month.

Those who leech of of the taxpayer should have to earn their welfare check preforming community service. Ive seen some neighborhoods in Ft Myers Florida where the whole neighborhood was section 8 housing, the streets were filthy with garbage. The leeches should have to clean the streets, here in Pa we have a adopt a street program where we VOLUNTEER to walk a mile and collect the garbage. Its called PRIDE and LIBERAL Americans lack it.

Isn't being poor humiliating enough? I think all the men should, not women. They should do something in an office.

Why should poverty be humiliating unless someone chose it? It's simply a state of being and can be changed through mental and physical effort assuming there isn't a regulation and a man with a gun to stop it..

Are you that diluted with stupidity as to think people choose poverty, very obviously you have never been poor. I have and have even been bitten by rats. This is a country that hires the beautiful over the qualified ugly at times the white over the black, the young over the old and many other huge aberrations in the corporate world and other industries that cause poverty. RACISM! causes poverty, Behold-ism causes poverty and I go can on and on and on and on. When we as a nation cures our ourselves of the immorality of discrimination then we can say "Hey why is someone poor" until then wake up dude. I rest my case.

Poverty by choice occurs when the able choose not to work. Have you ever seen Pan-handling twenty-somethings who were able bodied and yet chose a life of leaching. I have. Plenty on Haight St. or Ashby in the SF bay area and other places as well. Also, artists who choose to toil in obscurity are poor by choice. Poverty is not merely an accident of birth. It is not always something that cannot be overcome. It is certainly nothing to be embarrassed about. State of being, yes. One is impoverished or one is not. One is tall or one is not. Tall is a state of being. Do you see what I'm saying yet?

Yes, if you are able bodied you should work if there is work however many are not able minded and there is not always jobs for those that want to work. Some have serious psychological issues which make some people unemployable. We need to seriously address these issues when people/children are young so they are not a burden in the future.

I think you are 100% Correct ! The 1960's marked the END of the Democrats of old . What " Used To Be " the Party of the Working Man " was quietly replaced while the Old School Democrats Slept . MANY still refuse to believe it to this day !
