Conservatism is actually a necessary part of the human experience; at any given point in history, there will always be the folks who are scared of change, who wish to cling to out-dated and outmoded ideas/ls. This isn't always a bad thing, as it keeps the rest of society in check - they help to ensure that we don't jump too far ahead too soon. However, the idea that "conservatism" should be "the way things are done, forever" is not just against the very things America was founded on, it's also very, very stupid.

Just read the hate they post on this site against a duly elected president and his family.

You know, this is why liberals still have such a hard time gaining a strong following despite people agreeing with them on so many issues (and I'll be honest I agree on a few of these). These talking points are so awful. I mean, did you stop to think that something like "Party of No" might just make you sound like you're weak and ineffectual?

All "Party of No" really tells people is that 1. Republicans stand firm against you no matter what and 2. You're upset because they're so good at blocking your agenda (otherwise you wouldn't be complaining about it). People aren't going to respond well to that unless they already didn't like the GOP. It's like that infamous Bin Laden quote said, when people see a strong horse and a weak horse by nature they prefer the strong horse.
