Go read the article. Of course you won't , Cons never want to hear anything that contradicts their preconceived prejudices.

Anyway...Obama and his goons will find some way of getting him out of this!
Attorney General Eric Holder was ultimately responsible for putting approximately 2000 deadly weapons in the hands of members of Mexican drug cartels. One of those "traceable" weapons was used to murder American Border Agent Brian Terry. Allegedly over two hundred Mexican citizens were murdered by Mexicans who acquired those illegal weapons inside Mexico. The weapons were always supposed to be closely monitored and controlled by the ATF and/or Holder DOJ. Obviously, something went terribly wrong. Now, the Holder DOJ is concealing some information and refusing to release other information. Additionally, some key information Holder and his DOJ DID release, many months ago, proved to be utterly false, which is what led to the Attorney General facing the unprecedented vote for contempt before the U.S. House of Representatives.
Furthermore, we are learning that Obama and Holder intended to point to the carnage resulting from the "misuse" of those weapons, as a justification to strip you of your 2nd Amendment right to "...keep and bare arms...". The individual you politely refer to as "Mr. Holder" does not deserve to be "tortured" (I realize you are just trying to be "smart") but he does deserve to face criminal prose...

The individual you politely refer to as "Mr. Holder" does not deserve to be "tortured" (I realize you are just trying to be "smart") but he does deserve to face criminal prosecution, but, surprise, surprise, The Eric Holder Department of Justice declined to charge him. So, now it's up to the legislature to prosecute him civilly. It's really a shame, if you are being serious and sincere, that so many people, like you, think Holder is being "persecuted" because he's an African American. The color of his skin has nothing whatsoever to do with the content of his character - which is an "Obamination".
"GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH."
You say above that it was a conspiracy to take away gun rights. The ATF has a hard enough time trying to confiscate illegal firearms. If you are really concerned about Brian Terry and the 300 Mexicans who were killed you wouldn't mind there being better gun control laws anyway. Surely, you care right? Or do you?
The conspiracy theory that it was a set up to take away gun rights is not only extremely stupid, but it has NO basis in reality. But since you believe it takes away gun rights, you should be glad now that Mr. Holder has done everything he could to put a stop to gun walking.
He was not. Care to explain why not? Don't site fairness or trying to do the right thing, etc. They want his head BAD. If there was something to charge him with it would have been done.
". . .The "Fast and Furious" imbroglio may have just gone sideways on House Republicans. Just prior to them leading a House vote for contempt against Attorney General Eric Holder on Thursday, a far-reaching investigation published by Fortune magazine poked major holes in the conservative storyline about the alleged gun operation. Claims that law enforcement engaged in a deadly plot to let Mexican outlaws smuggle US guns, the magazine reports, are based on allegations by a lone whistleblower who may in fact be the only person who did any illegal gun-smuggling. The real cause of violence and crime south of the border, it reports, is lax gun laws in Arizona and elsewhere pushed by Republicans and their friends at the National Rifle Association. . ."

Fortune article: http://features.blogs.fortune...
To defend the conspiracy theory that they allowed guns to walk to reduce rights Fortune proposes another conspiracy theory citing unnamed individuals and a blog of disgruntled ATF employees. Good one.
Excuse me for being cynical, but, for now, I'll go with those testified to Congress and not the imaginary sorts quoted there.

There's still a lot of 'splainin to do, even if it that "report" is true.
Fails to mention the gun shop owners too
It was Obama that ended the program!
Now get off your moms couch and go get a job!
“An attorney general who I suppose you would hold in higher regard was briefed on these kinds of tactics in an operation called Wide Receiver and did nothing to stop them — nothing,” Holder told Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn during that hearing. “Three hundred guns, at least, walked in that instance.”
After the hearing, Grassley wrote to Holder asking him to provide evidence to back up his blaming Mukasey.
Instead of being able to facilitate evidence, though, according to Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley’s office, Holder and the DOJ have now retracted that statement.
