Rave This: If you think all people living in America, (with few exceptions) should be required to pay U.S Government Income Taxes, whether they choose to work or not.

I think if everybody paid at least a minimum Income Tax, the American Debt would be greatly reduced. Stop asking the Prosperous Americans to carry the dead-beat system players.

"The rich alone use imported articles, and on these alone the whole taxes of the General Government are levied... Our revenues liberated by the discharge of the public debt, and its surplus applied to canals, roads, schools, etc., the farmer will see his government supported, his children educated, and the face of his country made a paradise by the contributions of the rich alone, without his being called on to spend a cent from his
earnings."
~ Thomas Jefferson, 1811.
It is also ironic that conservatives achieved on of their goals and now don't like it. Lower taxes for the population at large, people on the lower end don't pay as much in income taxes as they used to.... Though again, they pay other taxes such as payroll taxes, state taxes, sales taxes, property taxes ect ect.
Take an hour to study this and smarten up:

U.S. executives earn 10 times as much as those in Europe and 20 times more than those in Japan so shut up you greedy rich buttheads and pay more taxes. The U.S. also has by far the greatest concentration of wealth of any developed nations with the richest 1% controlling two thirds of the wealth. The U.S. has feudalism, not capitalism.
It doesn't make sense to tax the unemployed, mostly because unemployed either have little or no money to pay the tax or they are on welfare (in which case the American public would be taxing its own spending, not to mention how it would make the welfare system far more useless than it already is). By taxing a people that can't ever pay for it what you are actually doing is creating a policy that allows the government to arrest and exploit the poorest of the poor through indebtedness. You should never loan money to bad spenders for the same reason you should never tax people with no money: It creates further debt and waste.
Neither person force the other to accept a certain price.
They tax upon tax upon tax and tax us more so they can literally waste our money and I'm certain that they know it and just dont give a damn about it.
I think my Senators and Representative do a reasonable job of representing me. That is why I voted for them.
Hows that for one?
Edit: I have to add that MediCare has been bleeding millions for years because its a government run program and isnt necessarily a product of one party or another, but I remember Barry talking about stopping it.
Another one is welfare. The government's who administer welfare rarely do any follow up with the recipients or raise a red flag at generational welfare takers.
Another one is SSDI....we have more than ever now. The government just makes it too easy to get taxpayer money without much to prevent the fraudulent claims.
One more....unemployment insurance. If that isnt a government "gimme" I dont know what is.
Medicare is the best way to provide health care to Americans.
You've never been on welfare or you would not say they don't get watched.
New a medical provider who said the same thing till I asked him what should they do die. Since they would if they didn't get his services he had no answer.
You and I have money deducted directly or indirectly from our checks for unemployment insurance. We are owed the benefits if that problem befalls us. It is no different from expecting a fire insurance company from paying up when there is a fire.
The states should be abolished. People hardly know who their state representatives are. We are citizens of the US not of some administrative unit called a state.
Ability to pay is the fairest and most efficient way of taxing. Why should someone who can't support themselves have to pay taxes? We'd just have to give the money back to them anyhow.
