Did the United States exist during the Dark Ages?
I guess I need to get the latest progressive history book and see what's new.
Rave this if you believe that "Take Our Country Back" means "Take Our Country Back To The Dark-Ages" to Conservatives.

Oh I don't know, maybe the 4th or 5th grape I ate was VERY SOUR..
Well let me tell you, I got up and went into the frige and grab the WHOLE BAG of grapes and just threw them in the trash!
Get government tyranny off the backs of its citizens!!! THATs what it means!
For the average Citizen to take back responsibility for their OWN LIVES as was established by the one-page Declaration and promised by our four-page Constitution!
NOT the 2700 page TaxCare Law, where "extraordinary power" to make YOUR health decisions, was lodged with a single person, the HHS secretary!
The phrase, "the Secretary shall establish" appears in the law, 109 times!
The phrase, "the Secretary shall" appears 1021 times!

What part of "personal responsibility" can't you Liberals understand?
In an atmosphere where the labels “Liberal” and “Conservative” are considered derogatory, intelligent political discourse is now sacrificed in lieu of character assassination. When the message of the candidate is lost because ensuing attacks against the person is more important than addressing their position on the issues or the style of their promised governance, the conversation is thus diluted to mud-slinging. In this paradigm, the voting public thirsty for knowledge of a candidate’s stand on the pressing issues of our day, become the losers.

Unfortunately for the American citizen, a “Manchurian Candidate” thrives in this cesspool of personal destruction. Destroy your opponent personally rather than stand on your own policies or record. He (or she) who wins the mud-slinging war wins the election! And then after they achieve elected office, we find out what they really stood for! Their vision for fundamental change was not what we wanted or desired at all.
Who cares that the winner’s agenda, forced upon an unsuspecting citizenry, is not in step with the majority of the American people or worse, not in keeping with the tenets of the Constitution.
As Nancy Pelosi pointed out regarding the Healthcare legislation, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”
WHAT? Is this the acme of political logic or the definition of what Alexis de Tocqueville called, “soft tyranny?”
236 years ago, fifty-six men gathered in Philadelphia to give voice to their resolve and drafted a document that told a tyrant, enough! After the all-too-familiar exposition of that document, they enumerated a, “long train of abuses and usurpations” committed by the King against the newly minted former subjects of the crown.
I wonder if anyone can compare the abuses of our present-day Federal Government with the abuses that forced our Founders to declare independence. I wonder exactly how many of the enumerated “abuses and usurpations” the current Congress and this Administration are guilty of!
Let’s examine some of them more closely now to see if we can identify any of these “abuses” routinely exercised by our present Congress and Executive.
“The history of the present King of Great Britain (and now, Pelosi, Reid, Obama, and their progressive enablers) is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these states. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.”
“He has refused his assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.” (Or enforce the ones we currently have, oh like say, the current immigration laws.)
“He has forbidden his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.” (Can you say Arizona?)
“He has refused to pass other laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of representation in the legislature (like excluding the GOP from formative, closed-door discussions on Healthcare reform), a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.” (Like passing Obamacare when the majority didn’t want it!)
“He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.” (Rahm Emanuel’s “shower” meeting with Eric Massa ring any bells here? Or how about taking Congressman Kucinich up in Air Force One to help him ‘change’ his vote on healthcare?)
“He has dissolved representative houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.” (Nancy Pelosi turning off the microphone and recessing the House during the Drill here drill now debate. When We the People spoke at town halls all across the country, the politicians who received an ear-full about their support of Cap & Trade and Obamacare ceased having face-to-face town halls, thus opposing our rights to redress grievances.)
“He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the legislative powers, incapable of annihilation, have returned to the people at large for their exercise; the state remaining in the meantime exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.” (Oh, let’s see now… Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd ring any bells here? It’s NOT their seat; it’s the people’s seat! This too, is an indictment of the ‘free press’ since it was they who essentially told us who to vote for.)
“He has obstructed the administration of justice, by refusing his assent to laws for establishing judiciary powers.” (Hmmm… Philly New Black Panthers.)
“He has made judges dependent on his will alone.” (Can you say Elena Kagan?)
“He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.” (I wonder if Obama has a voter registration Czar yet.)
“He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his assent to their acts of pretended legislation.” (Since when does the United Nations charter or European jurisprudence hold sway over our Constitution?)
“For protecting them, by mock trial, from punishment for any murders which they should commit on the inhabitants of these states” (Unless you’re an Illegal Alien, in which case you get a slap on the wrist and a hearty welcome to the U.S. Oh, and here, sign this voter registration… right here where it says “Democrat.”)
“For imposing taxes on us without our consent” (The Democrats won’t call it a tax increase… and that is how they’ve tried to sell their legislative agenda. The targets of their increases, be they big business or insurance companies, will only pass along their additional ‘costs’ onto the consumer. As a direct result of Democrat-sponsored legislative policies, middle-class America’s purchasing power has already decreased!)
“For taking away our charters, abolishing our most valuable laws, and altering fundamentally the forms of our governments”: (GUILTY AS CHARGED!)
“For suspending our own legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.” (For example, our duly elected Insurance Commissioner, Karen Weldin-Stewart is now subordinate to Director of Region III, Joanne Grossi, appointed by another appointee, Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius!)
“In every stage of these oppressions we have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms: our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.” (Hmm… Sound familiar?)
“We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us… They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity.” (… and to the voice of We the People, for far too long now! It stops this year!)
The dismissal of the American citizen by those in power—after taking for granted that career politicians and the press have the public’s interests at heart—is becoming painfully obvious with each day that passes. The evidence to support this assertion mounts everyday as the continual and baseless maligning of citizens groups becomes the sport de jure of the elite media and the out-of touch, career politicians and so-called political experts.
It’s obvious to the average American that we’ve been deceived for quite some time now. We, who have done our homework, had our eyes opened by hard-nosed authors who were able to connect the dots and expose the truth the so-called experts have chosen to hide from all of us. So skip past what the press corps wants you to believe, and do some research on your own! You’ll be surprised what you find and what you’ve been insulated against—all these years! (See the suggested reading list below.)
In today’s political maelstrom, there is nothing more dangerous to an arrogant, state-sponsoring press corps or “establishment” politicians than an “informed” electorate!
