I'll respond to this one like I responded to the antithesis of this one. I'm tired of it from both sides. Although I love the irony of someone who uses the term "repubes" complaining about someone else's name calling.
there is no such thing as a "better insult" mere. You said they call names like 3rd graders. Anyone immature enough that they must resort to name calling should be chastised.
The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.
John F. Kennedy
"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed."
-- U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, Nov. 21, 1864

Preying on people's prejudices is done by both political parties getting rubes to get played spouting names which upon examination are bogus. The GOP does it quite a bit more with their presidential candidates all preying on the prejudices of conservative voters.
They have done this behavior for so long they think everyone does it. I'm aware there are lefties that indulge in name calling, but they can't hold a candle to the righties.
The progressives have succeeded in dumbing down appx. 50% of Americans, the ones that pay no income taxes. They have NO CLUE how America works and it shows.
You really asked this question? It is quite clear that two seconds (or less) into a conversation Liberals run out of anything of substance to add to the discussion. It's at that point the Liberals begin spewing out derogatory names. Take a good look at your very own posts here Liberals and you tell me what pot is calling the kettle black.
I'm sick of it too... the sooner they STFU and stop using "Libtards", "Dumbocrats" and all the other bullspit names they just loooove to throw in when someone is TRYING to have a civil debate, the better. It's an argument among ADULTS, not a flubbing name-calling and insult competition!!
Atheists remind me of complete pricks in a crowd who are absolutely thrilled with themselves throwing batteries at the players but when grabbed by security squeal 'police brutality!' and go into hyper-victim status.
Anyways, I can find no less than 10 hours a night from MSNBC, Maxine, Jon Stewart, Bill Maher and about 200 podcasts hate-spewing personal insults at anyone conservative. Which, the OP doesn't count since he agrees with them.
It is rather amusing to constantly see the kettle calling the pot black, no difference which side they're on.

I understand why you're confused. Just take a few dozen zanexs and things will be fine in the morning.
