C-ZAR™, Emperor of the PHÆT 2012/07/11 13:29:05All Of The Above+22There's a line from an old 2Pac song: "We have Money for War, but can't feed the Poor"--damn right I think so, doesn't mean our war-mongering Government will do it, because HELPING folks would be socialism, lol

less than 1% of what the world spends on weapons is all thats enough to give and support all childeren in poverty an education!!
Africa used to be the biggest exporter of grains in the world, now more than a third of the earths grains are imported to africa to support them.
its just sad! there must be something done about it!
some friends and i had some huge idea of some worldwide fundraiser everyyear for the poor... itd be amazing if all the natons teamed up like that to save those in need....
The price of freedom is eternal vigilence, and sometimes that vigilence comes at a high price.
Silly person...
Luke 6:37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Luke 6:41 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
John 8:7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
Romans 2:1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
Romans 14:10 You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat.
Romans 14:13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.
1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
James 4:11 Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks again...

James 4:11 Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.
There's only one problem.
THERE'S NO PROFIT IN PEACE.
In the 90's, Taxes were raised and military was cut and we created a surplus. Seems to speak for itself. Get rid of the Bush era tax cuts, reduce our Military abroad, get the hell out of Afghanistan and use some of the savings to secure the entry points to the US for security.
The defense of the land on on which food, components for shelter, and clothing is worth a little, too.
Balance, my friend. Balance. Too much weight on one side or the other will capsize the boat.
The structure of your query reflects your closed mind. You ideals are in the right place, but I question your connection with reality.
How many weapons plants would Jesus Christ say we need ?
I do not presume to know. I do remember something about rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar and to God what is Gods. How many mouths are fed on the salaries provided by weapons plants?
Take your war guilt somewhere else. You did your job. You served your country. It may take a while for you to quit overcompensating, but you will come to terms with it. I remember Bo Duc, and Dac Tho. But I have come to terms with it and my Savior.

That does not mean that we should not be prepared. Preparedness is the best deterrent. And, a lot of prayer that our kids won't have to do the same job we did.
We have 700 and something bases in other countries. We're not a country anymore we're an empire.
We, also, need to cease being rescuers of those who do not want to be rescued. We do not need to become isolationists, but we should not be butt-inskies, either.
Charity begins at home. Rather than fund regimes that wish us harm, but snatch up our money, we should be giving a hand up to our own poor.
I think the problem is there's no profit in peace.

He knows how to use the mail function if he wants to reach out. He also knows there are plenty of old and young vets on SH. The only thing we can do is pray for him to find peace with himself.
Time really doesn't heal all wounds, but it does dull the sting.
