Simply put: Romney doesn't have a clue about the lives and struggles of the 99% of us. Never has, unfortunately never will.

On ABC news yesterday 9-14-2012 Mitts definition of Middle Class: an annual median income of $250.000, or less....no elaboration on how much 'or less' was. Middle Class median family income is $50,000 for 2011. Source: US tax reurns for 2011. Out of touch, but not out of cash.

Fine, but that does not mean that Barry is not receiving funding from groups and indiviuals of wealth equal to and greater than Mitt and his sources. According to the website OpenSecrets.Org, Obama has raised $432+ million, Romney, $279 million. Do you honestly believe all of these donations come from individuals such as yourself?
  • David Jay Ford 2012/10/16 17:11:15
    David
Jay what I want to see happen is legislation to restrict money spent on campaigning limited to the candidates themselves and any money raised by them sourced immediately, so that we the voters clearly see where that money is coming from.

I am also tired of my television entertainment being interrupted by campaign advertisements, nearly every other democracy can change a government based on a campaign lasting no longer than 8 weeks, we should do the same!

The other major reform I would like to see is voter registration, I believe we should follow the Australian system where as soon as someone reaches the age of 18 they must register to vote!

This registration is not party based, it is simply a registration to vote which is updated each time a person moves into a new electorate to live.

Voter ID should be linked to a new social security card which changes from a paper based one on reaching age 18 to a plastic one which includes a photo to be updated every 10 years.

He IS rich- he's been affluent his entire life. Why wouldn't he? They take care of their own. They have a completely different mindset about money and the value of it than the average joe does, so in his personal experience, he can't even begin to understand what an average joe lives like day to day. Throwing tons of money on a horse when someone is out there just barely making ends meet on food stamps?
At least Obama has been in those situations in his lifetime.

How can a man so far removed from the Average American family say he cares about them with his platform. the rich will get richer and the poor he wants to live behind. what risk is involved when you are rich. you have instant acess to better education, health care, quality of life and nutrition. He has no idea what its like to worry about where your next meal will come from.

I read a speech that he made, where he said that "Children deserve the education that they can afford." (That may not be exact wording, but very close) I thought that said a lot about him and quite honestly I was surprised he would make a comment like that while campaigning.

they went overseas, when clinton made the free trade agreement, which i thought was a bad Idea, but that is when business move to others countries paid people less money, then send there product back to us, and cost the same as if it was made her.
But the things we made here, people could not afford them in other countries.
Don't blame bush, it started with carter, bush sr, Bill clinton, bush jr, OBama, (agenda 21) it green global agenda for america.

No, his point was that the Bush tax cuts were to enable the wealthy to create jobs. Bush installed tax cuts in 2001 and 2003, but there were more jobs lost under Bush than there were jobs created.

The Republican mantra that the wealthy create jobs is a myth.

I believe jobs where created just not here, same with Obama and the trillions of dollars he spent, that money went to other countries to create jobs, but there was no shovel ready jobs here.

. They abandoned ship as soon as they saw that they can make more money overseas I say make our product here raise our tariffs and raise the minimum wage like New Mexico's 10.29 per hr minimum wage so that we can atleast feel better about buying stuff because the prices will go up and give tax breaks to those who bring our jobs home. I belive in one tax if I pay 10% on the money that I bring home then so should evryone else I make 30,000 I pay 3,000 someone makes 300,000 they pay 30,000 and if there's a tax brake on business expenses then same rule should apply for all business men and wemen
    small or large.
Dec 1992 George.H. W Bush along with Carlos Salinas of Mexico and Brian Mulroney of Canada initiated NAFTA The goal of NAFTA was to eliminate the trade and investment barriers between US,Canada and Mexico Clinton came into office before it was finalized. NAFTA did not include thr rest of the world Canada and Mexico are not overseas .Certain Items such as corn eggs and meat were exempt from terriffs In 2010 US Exports accounted for 32.2 % overall and produced 411.5 billion dollars.

The US is the world's economic and cultural hot spot and we need to act like it is. We have what the world wants so we need to stop out sourcing our work and place more attention and focous USA product ,we have plenty of steel here we build our own bridges with our own steel we don't need China's send China our stuff directly. They make us pay lets make them pay.

it sad but true, steel we sell china, along with lead, copper, and other items.
I think salaries and healthcare got out of control, it has hurt the younger generation. It is sad when people work and government thinks of more ways to
    tax you.

I mean he didn't work for his money or anything I mean running a busneiss is nothing right?
I mean it is not like you are being harassed by the goverment and trying to compete with other companies right?
I mean everyone knoews once you have your own busneiss you just sit at a desk and soke cigars while you ''force'' people to work for you by paying them.
