It does seem that way. They treat the poor as if they have leprosy. They think being poor means being lazy. How many of them are rich? If they aren't rich then they themselves must also be lazy. That being according to their own logic.

Actually Christians give 30% more to charities than non-christians and that include NON Christian charities as well as Christians charities. We are more likely to donate blood and time as well.

That's because they believe if they believe they do good things, they will go to heaven. They do things to be rewarded. When people do things to help others, they do it because it makes them feel good. They don't do it for some old man in the sky so he approves of them. I donated blood my Jr. year in high school and I was anything but a christian and volunteered at an animal shelter, you don't see statistics about that.

No......Christians are called...or commanded if you will to serve others, to treat others as they would have others treat them. Choosing to believe in the way of Yeshua Messiah does not make you super human it only gives you tools to deal with man's inhumanity to man. Everything that has been said in criticism of Christians here can and has been said of liberals by Christians and conservatives......the labels are not interchangeable just as all democrats are not Liberals.

God is giving you free will, that does not mean there are no consequences for bad actions !!! He is waiting for you and I to wise up and stop acting like a know it all ass !!! We are all guilty of sin, some just admit it and ask god for forgiveness, in Jesus name ! People are not the end all, know it all, there is a higher power that created us !!! Just like a good parent is not going to allow their child to get away with everything ! There is a price to pay for being a jerk !

Here's what I think, this god you are talking about doesn't exist because it is just a group of people's screwed up interpretation of a god they think is watching them and that rewards them if they brag about how much they love him. The christian god didn't give us anything. Don't tell me to do anything to please YOUR so called god. I will act the way I wish whether you like it or not little boy. I do NOTHING for YOUR god's pleasure or to meet your stupid expectations. There is however a price for being ignorant. Deal with it.

You are a human created by G'd. G'd has commanded you to worship him.........you don't...... you don't believe G'd exists..... you chose!! That's free will. That's what Christians call sin..... Choosing not to obey the creator of all is called sin. Sin is an ancient Greek word used in archery, meaning you have missed the mark (target). No one is above the law....G'd's law is as real as the law of gravity... with one difference.... we do not have free will where gravity is concerned.

I never said anything when Hitler is portrayed on SH here; as a person of the Jewish faith; I should be upset; the Klan;Hitler and Muslims all hate the Jews; yet it is so easy to portray all these people; but free speech is free; because of Americans dying and or shedding their blood to defeat this kind of hate.

Hey; good old Southern Dems hated blacks and lynched them;beat them,raped their women and made their lives hell and did the same to the Jews ; and the nation of Islam; which is a black organization; hates the Jews; but Louie and his bunch and David Duke have the right to be stupid in this great country.

Where do these figures come from? And the government has helped fund christian charities to the point that that is almost all there is. Try to find a drug and alcohol program that isn't either christian or cost prohibitive.

Who's we? I'm a born againg Christian but I hate braggarts. I gave $25 in the basket you only gave $10. What the heck. You'd swear you could buy your way into heaven. That's a laugh. Jesus taught up to help the poor and treat everyone as we'd want to be treated ourselves. I get so upset when I hear people say I gave $XXX amount of dollars that's more then so and so gave. Give it a break. Stop saying this needy one deserves my money but this needy one doesn't. All people are God's creation. All people are his children. We put more value on one than the other and that's wrong. If we can't try and help everyone in need then we aren't following the commands of Jesus.

I was comparing Christians to Atheists. I only did so AFTER you said this. "They treat the poor as if they have leprosy."

I demonstrated that not only do Christians not mistreat the poor, they treat the poor better than non-Christians.

Was that too difficult?

I've heard more than one preacher say this, Joel what ever his last name is, I'm sure you've heard of him as he is a millionaire off the backs of his flock and I've even heard Pat Robertson say this. Besides that, I haven't written a book yet.

Really. Many of the rich worship their wealth. It means everything to them .God said not to worship false gods before Him. Money is a false god. There is nothing wrong with being wealthy but the problem lies with how one uses their wealth and the power that goes with it. When the rich were bragging about how much they gave in their Temple Jesus told them that the woman who gave 2 small coins gave more then they did because she gave everything she had even though the amount was much less than they gave.
