It is refreshing to know that there are still 'normal' GOPers out there. I wish they would stand up for themselves before it's too late.

    That report was absolutely brilliant!

I still hope that MODERATE Islamists will be able to reign in and control extremists Islamists; like they did for about 300 years.

There is no such thing as a moderate Islamist. The word "Islamist" stands for extremist. The others are simply Muslims.

And I've lived among a many a Muslim... most of them are like you and me... got bills to pay, kids to feed, and a mortgage to boot.

It's the extremist of this world causing all the problems.

Exactly. The only difference I notice in the Muslims I know is the scarves worn by the women.

Yea... When I was over in Saudi, the nicer the scarf, the more status one had... many women adored wearing scarves... and it protected them from the intense heat as well...

It only sucked on humid days, my ex-wife(filopina) only complain then about the scarves.

I have noticed that where I live. The well-to-do women have nicer scarves, but they must get sticky in the 100-degree heat, when the humidity matches the temps.

This may sound sick... but if they worn thick cotton scarves they feel less sticky...

    :)

I only worn thick heavy cotton long sleeve shirts when I lived there... and had on a 100% cotton tee-shirt underneath...

I was warm, but never HOT or sweaty...

6 weeks of 120 degrees and 100% humidity.

I always took 3 weeks of vacation then..

    Yeah.... I did...

They gave me a round trip ticket, 10 days off, and plenty of Benjamins... $$$ to have a good time...

Since they don't allow pork products to be sold in their markets, I would fly over to Singapore or Bangkok just for ribs...

I miss those days... LOL ...

Yeah... that was 10+ years ago...

Too bad I got married... then divorced... LOL..

But life is short, but I'm happy... Got to travel across the international dateline 3 times...

Been on 3 Continents and 8 countries. I still have a ways to go... :)

Not many get to do that...

How about you Jeremiah... you travel much?

Not anymore. I wandered around the country as I worked for several newspapers, and then out of the country with an international news service. I was posted in New York and Washington, then to London and Paris for a while, and finally to Baghdad in the early years of the debacle.

That stop told me I had had enough, and I took my retirement. Now I live in Dallas to be near my kids and grandkids, but I get up to Minnesota and out to California whenever possible to visit family. Other than that, my travel itch has been scratched.

Now I work at home, doing research for clients and writing whatever anyone will pay me to write. No one has paid me to write smut yet. :^) I also teach a college course in writing, so I keep fairly busy.

Are you still working? I think I asked you once where in this state you live, but I forgot what you told me.
