Of course. Although my point of view is often attacked and called various things since is usually isn't what the opposing viewpoint wants to hear.

The first amendment is not to just hear what you want; it's to ensure you get to hear what you don't

Why? We need to protect our rights. Rights which our forefathers died for. Rights which are clearly stated in our Constitution. A Constitution that is unique to America. This frame work which built our Nation! We as you know have the right to freedom of speech, of the press, and of assembly; right to petition,Right to keep and bear arms, protection from quartering of troops, protection from unreasonable search and seizure, due process, double jeopardy, self-incrimination, eminent domain,Trial by jury, prohibition of excessive bail and cruel and unusual punishment, protection of rights not specifically enumerated in the Constitution,Powers of States and people, the first ten. I don't know about you but not one of these would I just give up. Fight who? Who ever shall threaten to take these rights.“Rebellion to tyranny is obedience to God.”
    ― Thomas Jefferson

You misunderstand. I know why these rights are important, but there's no threat to the 2nd amendment, so why are you so ready for a fight?

I would like to see a more literal interpretation of that principle. Various unpopular types of speech are outlawed and I think that's wrong. People should be able to say what's on their mind no matter who it offends, period.

Please show us where Congress has made an official state religion of the land? Also this amendment prohibts you from making any law to stop someone from exercising their religion.
And what does 'CBLDF' stand for?

Well they have the words "IN GOD WE TRUST" printed on money.

But they never made 1 official church the church of the land. England has the Church of England and on the Continet many countries have the Roman Catholic Church (of the Holy Roman Empire). Thats what the founders ment in that the land would have no offical government approved church. Also the Constitution was made for a God fearing populace otherwise it would not work.
  • Savious No One 2013/03/01 14:08:34

The majority of Americans believe in a supreme being. The United States recognized that, by printing “IN GOD WE TRUST” on the money.

What they did not do, is dictate which god you must worship, or even that you must worship a god at all. They did not state that you must worship a god in order to use the money, or prohibit non believers from using the money. They did not infer, or suggest in any manner, that usage of the money constitutes endorsement of a religion or a supreme being.

So, we have something in print, on something that we use on a regular basis as a common medium of exchange, which you happen to use freely. The printed item does not affect your usage of the medium, it does not require you to do anything outside the private transaction, nor does it hinder or interfere with the transaction; and does not interfere with your rights of freedom of religion by requiring you to participate in any religious act at all.

Sorry, I really don’t see the bitch, since it causes you no harm, and requires nothing from you, nor prohibits any activity you wish to undertake.
