i am a liberal, and i think this liberal/conservative bashing needs to stop period. everybody needs to get a long. that is why other countries are laughing at us.

The pre-Reagan Conservatives didn't suck. They were ACTUALLY fiscally conservative.

But the Cool-Aide was too strong for the post-Reagan recruits. Most of them don't realize Lincoln was a Progressive.

Every day, I am a little more sorry for them. It's starting to bug me.

They are "sucking" the blood out of the middle class, certainly.

You use conservative too loosely; you mean republicans. The Tea Party is where you find the conservatives that will FIX this, not pour more gasoline on the fire.

yeah; that's like saying all gays hang around roadside rest areas drilling holes in the restroom walls. Or all gays dress up like women to trick men into sexual acts. Or all gays approve of old men seducing young boys.

you know, i remember when the tea party, the current version popped up early '09, soon after obama was sworn in office people made there signs saying how they are being taxed to death and have trouble affording what they need to survive. so tell me, did the tax rate of those people just make a massive jump in less then a month in office?

What "a month"? It took much longer than a month to getinto this HOLE; both parties are equally to blame. We have sent those elected officials who "say" one thing and do another, nothing gets done; it keeps getting worse. We now select those who have the will to FIX things in D.C., not go up there and get along/go along. Too damn much waste/fraud/abuse and mismanagement. If any business ran like the Federal Government, they would close in the first year.

We don'twant to be average; we like the USA being the world's leader and so does the world except for the communists/progressives/liber... No one-world government here, pal.

considering the behavior I've seen with the tea party? no. they are selfish, self righteous, ill-informed, paranoid, have a total lack of imagination, and basically fear mongers. I mean really, all you guys do is call everyone communists, socialist, or something else stupid.

That's how they are portrayed by the MSM who blatantly support the Obama method of tax/spend that has been the agenda since the progressives moved in with FDR. Balanced budget, constitutional law not precedence, fiscal responsibility, stop the wasteful spending. All of the money for Social Security is GONE !! Medicare, Medicaid, Federal Employee retirement funds, Post Office retirement funds, Amtrak retirement; they have spent it all; how will we do this; taxing the rich doesn't pay for one week. There has to be some tough choices or the USA will cease to be.

Losing ground???? Did you NOT read yesterday's headlines on the Senate race in Texas; the Tea Party is alive and well. This is the 8th or 10th RINO that went down and we only just began. You just parrot what Rev Al and Red Ed have to say; almost word-for-word.

What was the first vote on Obama's budget plan; 97-0 in the Senate; the 2nd one was 434-0 in the House; how many democrats voted with him? is it 0, maybe? The man does NOT know what he is doing and you blame republicans. Obama had the majority in both Houses and couldn't fix it; republicans could NOT stop him and I am no republican fan; both parties have dirty hands in this decline of the USA.

I won't. Labels on both ends suck, regardless of what either believes.

You don't know what fascism is.

"Fascism" is a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation above the individual (as in recent American conservatism) and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, (as in someone who LOVES to fire people), severe social regimentation ( as in the TEA Party) and the forcible suppression of opposition...(as in voter suppression). That's what Fascism is. Want some?? We "liberals DON'T, that's WHY we are FOR Obama.

Do YOU know what an Oligarchy is?? Thanks to the SCOTUS, that's what we have...soon to be a Fascist Oligarchy if several billionaires succeed in BUYING the Presidency...and the country!

Edit: No response so I thought I'd add a little. You see I was living when Fascism was in it's hayday. I worked with a man for many years who saw Mussolini hanging from his heals after being torn apart by the people. I did my part, small as it was, to help the "war effort" . What was you doing then??
