Normally freedom is more important -- but in times of emergency, the needs (real or perceived) of an entity may trump individual rights. I was once stuck in a town in Nebraska for 3 days during a "blizzard-like" storm. I-80 was blocked off, and so were the old E/W state highways. I would have taken my chances to get home, but I wasn't allowed. Does anyone think Nebraska is a nanny-state?
Those who would surrender any liberties for security deserve NEITHER.
-- Benjamin Franklin
God grants liberty only to those who love it, and are always ready to guard and defend it.
--Daniel Webster
That is how I see obamacare.
Everyone was terrified ....and did not want that becoming the norm here. I will say I have not heard much about more terroist attacks on US soil...
I do disagree with the quote you posted completely, but I don't rave "Rave This If...!" questions, just on principle.
All the dog and pony shows at the airport does not impress me or anyone with extensive military or security background. If any terrorists wants to screw things up it is extremely easy to do. The Patriot acts are acts of a scared nation/politicians.
