We are now watching the O'Blamer version of "what the meaning of "is" is", this piece of demented humanity needs to be court marshelled as "Commander in Chief", no wonder his minion are trying everything they can to make sure the military don't get to vote.
At least if the Marines had been called in to attempt a rescue there would be a few more dead terrorists today, instead of them out planning their next attack.......
Thank goodness, there was a witness to Clinton's inept actions regarding Bin Laden while HE was still president:
“America’s counterterror network had Osama bin Laden in its gun sights and was begging the White house for permission to strike. But President Clinton had ‘disappeared’ and could not be found to give the order. When he finally responded, he painstakingly procrastinated until the opportunity was lost.”
ref: Robert “Buzz” Patterson, LtCol USAF (Ret.), Dereliction of Duty, (Washington, DC: Regnery, 2003), p. 13.
Hmm... Sound familiar?
“And that, in a nutshell, was the Clinton Administration attitude.” (Ibid, p. 98)
the available teams could have saved lives and eliminated the threat. when you put a shoe shine boy over the military in wartime situations it always turns bad.
The president claims not to know what went on at bengahzi, he is AOL most of the time. How many security briefings has he missed? Who is going to speak for the dead Americans who were left behind!! We are being lied to and stonewalled!!
The “oath” of “no soldier left behind” applies to those that are dead. The credo that; we do not stand idle while our citizens are dying is what is in question here. The two brave CIA operatives that went against orders were the only ones that had it right! Those making the decisions that day were the ones that were wrong. Left to the military and not the politicians, I believe there would have been a good chance those four men would still alive, and there would have been a lot of dead insurgents in the streets. My Brother-in-law is the General in charge of all of Southeastern Afghanistan and he has the utmost respect for Panetta. I don’t think Panetta would have made this decision. I believe it goes much farther up the chain of command.
Pinetta says due to lack of "real time information, he decided not to deploy forces into harm's way without knowing what's going on."
Excuse me Mr Pinetta, but don't we have highly trained experts? Don't we have Seals, Rangers, Green Beret with all sorts of advanced technology and weapons designed specifically for deployment in unknown situations as this? They were nearby and could have gotten there within a couple hours of the 7 hour long siege.
But how unknown was the situation? It's our compound, so we knew the terrain and building layouts. The administration was watching cameras with real time video feeds. Intel was available.
Mr. Pinetta, that answer doesn't pass the smell test.
My opinion is that the administration knew the number of potential victims and decided the loss was acceptable. Better to lose a few instead of risking more lives in a rescue attempt. Better to leave a solder on the field to fight and die alone while his fellow soldiers can only standby and wait. It's an absolute disgrace!! It shows a complete lack of faith in our military, lack of leadership, lack of courage.
Please read my post above. I believe Panetta is caught in the politics. The military that I know of says if it was his decision, this would have never happened.
So Panetta was "caught in the politics" means being forced to go along with something he disagrees with. Being forced to lie to the public is not honorable.
I hope Panetta gets to testify someday. I think it will go something like this. "We urged the President to act. We had the hardware and troops in place. We were ready to go, but the President refused. My hands were tied”.
It's stupid this happened. Why are we there if we can't protect ourselves and each other?
Help should have been sent immediately. It was denied. That's criminal.
But what of Clinton?

"The Secretary of the Defense gives the order with the approval of the White House, period. That's the only person that can do it."
This scandal is not going to end with Pinetta.

Didn't have the heart to post it without permission .
