The Democrats are the Majority in the Senate, maybe you don't know about the insane 60-vote rule to pass anything and Republican using the Filibuster as a Sledge Hammer, and any Senator can hold up legislation and keep it from coming to a any kind of Vote or getting out of Committee. Republicans have used it a Record 97 times to hold up any Legislation.
