Oh, you mean the last election when Obama came out of nowhere with no record beyond voting "present" and the national media played cheerleader for him instead of vetting him? You mean the election before Obama accumulated a dismal first term of failed economic policies and before he pushed through an unpopular jobs-killing national health care bill? Yes, I remember that election when he ran against George Bush before adopting, continuing and even expanding on the worst of Bush's policies.

On the contrary, Obama was already a state senator when I moved to the Chicagoland area 13 years ago. I watched him become a U.S. senator, I watched him rise up through the ranks. EVERYONE in the Chicago area did. He didn't come out of nowhere for us, we were HERE.

Destroy him with what? The economy, jobs, the stimulus, Wall Street bail outs, gas prices, food and energy prices, Obama's wars? All these are big negatives for Obama. The difference in 2012 vs. 2008 is that Obama now has a record that he must defend, and a failed record at that. In 2008 nobody knew him and he could say anything about his positions and people had to go off his word, now it's totally different, we know who he is and what he's done or hasn't done. Obama's in a very weak position right now......this is Romney's to win or lose IMHO!

He's not a great public speaker, but he's not horrible. Besides, I don't think being a good or great public speaker is really an essential qualification for the Presidency. I'll take substance over style any day.
