Ralph! Where have you been? We were just talking about Ralph Nader and wondering why no one's heard from him during the run up to the campaign. We should end corporate welfare. Don't know Pacifica Network is but I'll look it up.

It is very simular to what I want to do. GET RID of the Corporate tax code all together and implace the personal tax code with no dependants deduction no interest deduction for personal property or homes for anyone. OVERALL the tax rate for everyone would be lower. Every CITIZEN (since Citizens United makes corporations citizens) tax them at the same rate as the regular guy.
:) I figure the effective rate would drop to about 16-18%. across the board.
Well you know my position on the monetary system, however, as long as we're going to continue having this cancerous system, you proposal make sense, I like it. I would go further, and either get rid of corporations all together, or start enforcing the sheets of paper called laws in the legal system of the federal governments, and the individual states that do enable the government to SHUT A CORPORATION DOWN if it's not performing a public good, you can remove a corporation's charter, putting it out of business, and corporations SHOULD NOT have rights of real people, individuals in charge of corporations, CEOs, executives, should be subject to CRIMINAL prosecution just as an individual is, my punishment would not be putting them in a concentration camp, I am against those, I am for shutting those down, put them on a desert island, and let them fend for themselves.
OH don't get me wrong Corporation must not have the leagal standing of individuals, but under Citizens United SCOTUS decision they do, so they are no longer corporations but individuals and as such corporate tax codes no longer apply. Hence, equipment depreciation, investment credits etc all this extra stuff that they get to deduct before taxes no longer applies and they will have to pay just like anyone else.
You miss interpert what I was trying to say. That is the way my theory of what should be happening to the tax code. That is NOT what is really happening.
Oh too. one of the neat things is that an individual is limited. look under campaign finance law.
My first vehicle was a VW bus. After two engines failed I put a Corvair pancake 6 in it. With the added horsepower and the extra weight behind the back axle, it would quite easily do wheelies!
My first car wasn't a race car but it was fast! It was a '68 Olds Regency 4dr that I bought from my uncle. Well maintained, loaded and the old Rocket 455. The cruise control was a dial on the dashboard. We thought gas prices were rediculous then. They just don't make 'em like that any more, do they? Got no tickets, would have gotten my butt kicked.
Nader is dead-wrong.
End government metastasis.
Washington needs a HUGE enema, followed by radical excision and irradiation of cancerous bureaucracies and programs.
Elimination of our toxic "leadership" is the first step to a cure.
End ALL welfare for THE WEALTHY
End ALL welfare for BIG OIL.

Hence it is my theory that corportions, pacs, superpacs are all to be held to the same restrictions.
Another consequence of being greedy
Only a "kook" wouldn't take him seriously!
It also would pull the wheels off the ground! Bwah hah hah hah!
17 yr old kid goes from a VW bus to that with a monster under the hood....
= lots of tickets in a very short time!

The answer certainly isn't Romney.
Publicly funded elections = no lobbyists, no private funding,
