The Left photoshopped Bush Jr into a "smirking chimp" and posted it all over the net. Why would one be considered 'racist' but not the other? It's either a serious double standard that we all need to recognize, or Liberals actually believe that African Americans are monkey-like in some way.

this question sounds like an attempt to stir up people. What if she had called Obama a jackass or a slug, or the son of a motherless goat? The reality is that we are all a bunch of animals...We have bigger problems than what someone calls someone else. It's the economy stupid. Let's stay focused on the bigger picture. We have massive debts and massive unemployment. how do we fix those problems.

Freedom of speech is the freedom to say things that others do not like. I may not agree with the terminology or politics of this host but she has the right to say it. Also as posted below the Left Wing loved their favorite photo-shopped of President Bush as a chimpanzee. Is it more offensive spoke or pictured?

Bill Maher's comment in context was referring to the lack of evolution that the predominantly white party is. This lady drops the monkey bomb, over race.
The difference is if they both thought their comment through.
Bill Maher would have picked a different metaphor
This lady would have said the exact same thing.
